careful with that, this can become quite an addiction.

far worse than keyboards imo, cause in mice you always tend to expect more than you already have from anything you  don't actually own.

still waiting to get my hands on the fk, right now i am using a da black ed.

the next step is, once you think you found the perfect match you start to get nervous that they're gonna change sth. about it in the near future and find yourself on amazon clicking on 'add to basket' and quantity '10'.

happened to me with the logitech dual optical back then.

Mice I use every day (From LtoR)
Logitech V470 Mini Bluetooth laser - for my work laptop
Microsoft Explorer Mini  - My carry mouse, for use on other computers, some customers still have ball mice... ICK!
Logitech G700 - Desktop
Logitech MX5800 (MX Revolution Bluetooth) - Laptop (I swapped the scroll wheel from a normal Revolution into it)
Logitech M505 Laser - Used on my spare laptop

Other mice I have laying around...
Rocketfish Bluetooth Mac mouse (works great for the $10 I paid for it)
Microsoft Laser Mouse 8000 Bluetooth (odd button positions, but works out of the box in Linux, unlike my MX5800)
Logitech MX503 (old carry mouse)
Old Logitech corded for my servers
Generic Bluetooth mouse (works decent)

I've owned pretty much every Logitech Wireless in the last decade. Microsoft are good, but they lack the right feel. Most other wireless mice are just junk.

Hello my name is domoaligato, and I am a mouseaholic.

I think I might be worse off than you. Currently using a G400, but here's my drawer-o'-mice:

I also have a Logitech MX Anywhere, Logitech G500, and Apple Magic Trackpad that's not in the drawer at the moment.

This is AFTER selling the following (over the years):

- 2x Intellimouse Explorer 3.0
- Microsoft Habu
- Razer CopperHead
- Razer Imperator (original)
- 2 more Razer DeathAdders
- Microsoft Intellimouse Optical
- Logitech Revolution MX
- Logitech MX500
- Logitech MX518
- Logitech G5 (both revs)
- Logitech Trackman Marble
- Steelseries Kinzu
- Apple Magic Mouse

Probably many more that I forgot.

I use the Zowie FK, which is pretty much perfect for me.

Been using the AM before, and while there was a lot to like about that mouse, I just thought it was a little too narrow to ever be really comfortable.

The best mouse shape wise remains the SS Sensei imo. If it had an optical sensor with some other characteristics than the one it has, I would have gone for that. The FK is closest to that idea.

I have a sensei raw and I really like it a lot. I came from a Steelseries Cataclysm enormous claw grip mouse with something like 18 buttons so it took a bit of getting used to since it was skinnier. Now that I'm adjusted I like it a lot. I also have a G9x, 518, G5, and a G400.

Are they yours? You could make a pretty penny selling them online.

They have one of the best optical sensors ever made (same sensor as the IE 3.0 IIRC)

Good shape, flawless sensor, for me light-touch buttons and wheel... Definitely worth the price, I got mine for 5 EUR. My only complaints are about build quality (it's not really bad, but could be much better) and low sensitivity (YMMV).

I have a Sensei and it's frickin' awesome! Beats all my previous mouses by far. Haven't had a single issue with it for 6 months and I've been recommending it to everyone looking to buy a new mouse. If you like claw grip and the ability to lift your mouse you're gonna love this.

A very boring, black Microsoft Wireless 4000.  It does its job just fine, seeing how I don't play very many intense games.  However, it is a bit small, and my next mouse will definitely be one that I try on for size first.  I'm definitely not going Razer, because I just can't stand their Synapse 2.0 crap.  And once I get a PC, I am totally going Roccat, getting an Isku and a Kone

Using a Razer Imperator (the old one) right now. Nice mouse, but I had to send it back to Razer a few months ago when it started double clicking when I would single click. Planning on upgrading to a Logitech G500 when this inevitably dies, I'm kicking myself for not buying one in the half off sale on Amazon that happened a while ago.

Haha, funny I had a Razer Imperator 2012 before and it started double clicking as well, nice mouse except for that. Got to choose whatever mouse I wanted at the same price when I sent it back to the company I bought it from, so I got myself the Sensei I linked a picture of.

Got a new mouse in the mail today. A Sensei Raw Rubberized.

I was very surprised to see that the cable on the Raw version is actually thicker than the more expensive normal Sensei! The rubberized surface is the same material as the sides on both the Raw and normal Sensei, it's nice but I don't know if if prefer the "metal" surface on the normal Sensei or the rubberized surface. Other differences between the two is the lack of an LCD under the mouse to change between different profiles, which doesn't matter since you only have one profile on the Raw version. You also can't change the color on it, which sucks. I like my Pink Sensei more when it comes to looks. Oh, and it's also lighter because it's essentially a stripped down Sensei with a thicker cable.

Raw vs Normal:
+- Lighter (user preference basically)
+ Thicker cable
- Can't change color
- Feels a bit cheaper
+- "only" half the DPI, ~5,5k vs ~11k (I only use 800 so I don't really care)
- No cool LCD screen

I've only faced one problem so far, the drivers can't handle two Sensei's at the same time. Had to unplug my Sensei and reboot, couldn't use either of them after I plugged my Raw in.

It's awesome as long as you like the grip. Great finish, light switches, good build quality. Maybe it could have a bit better sensor, but whatever, it's not a deal-breaker.

Unless the sensor is absolute garbage of the mouse is prone to failure.  It's why I would never buy a R.A.T.  It's also why I still have an MS Intellimouse 1.0 or 1.1 that I still have some 10+ years later that still works perfectly.

Yeah, It's basically like if you don't need all the extras that nobody actually need (but may be cool to have just to have, like the LCD  :))) you'd be better of buying the RAW version.

Where are you located? About the only place I can find the FK is on Zowie's site, and it's damn near $100 when all is said and done after shipping to the US

Sorry for the late reply. I am in Holland. I ordered it directly from zowie's website. It was sent from Denmark, so I payed about 10 euros in shipping. It will probably be more widely available in a while.

Flawless sensors don't exist, every sensor has its pros and cons, some have way more pros than cons but none will track "perfectly" for example.
That's why I find labeling sensors as flawless, especially from a rather specific POV, not helpful and would prefer people ditching it.

It's actually really growing on me, wasn't huge on it at first but I find myself using it more and more unless I need to use Linux paste cause it it doesn't have a middle click. I suppose this would be really easy to set up though with one of the top buttons.

The pivot scrolling is pretty nice.

what u mean under Intellimouse!? little confused!?

but back to FK it´s good mouse pretty good sensor in it. Shape is good but little smal for my big hands need to keep it with my fingers. the surface is fingerprints lastig thats a small minus point. Pro are that there are no drivers and extra shh.. t it s pure Raw Mouse and thats the point. After hours of playing BF3 and Dota the last days i m more impressive from the Zowie FK.
I m using at moment Razer Goliathus with it and the Mouse glide on it like a Jet :)

^ yeah thats what i was referring to as the FK seems to be based off of it

I believe it's a narrower mouse than the MS mice there.

It's the only mouse that I know of that has 5 programmable buttons "by software running in foreground".
What I mean by that is that each one of the five buttons can execute a different action (ahk script, launch a software, media shortcuts, etc.) depending of the software which is currently displayed on the window it's hovering. I've yet to find another mouse ('cept Logitech ones I mean) which can do that !

My sensei can do that, I'm pretty sure. Also using ControllerMate on OSX I can do that with any device, not just mice.

Deathadder 2013 can do that as well, also my old Microsoft Sidewinder could do it, pretty sure that's a common feature for "gaming" mice?

Well it seems you can on the Sidewinder, except for the DPI button, and for the Deathadder it seems to be the same as my Slider X-600 : only a "switchprofile" button with limited profiles.

I don't use the MX1100 for gaming actually, the wireless isn't that great and there isn't engough DPI.
The X-600, while feeling a bit cheap and plasticky, is really great if you have a decent mousepad because of the ceramic feet. It really glide like no other material I've seen, it's a shame they got a patent on that, we could see that feature on better mice.

Currently using WMO and Zowie MiCO at my laptop.

Show Image

MiCo for desktop / RTS use
WMO for FPS

I've used this setup forever, god I love it so much.  I just ordered a SS Kinzu v2 Pro hoping it'll allow me to use only one mouse from now on.

just recieved today my Zowie FK

Show Image

side by side to my "old" Logitech G9x  ;D

pretty imprest nice Mice, but little disapointed from Cable its not Sleeve  it could be better.

Thats funny cause the G9X mouse cable is the worst, and the FK blows it away.  Seriously braided cables are awesome except for mice.

If you can find one, pretty hard to find in the UK at least.

Go for the G9x, it's already on the way out so this is your chance. If you decide you don't like it you can always get one of the others later, chances are you won't be able to get the G9x later if you change your mind.

I think my Logitech G5 1st gen is going to last forever.  It's too easy to fix when it breaks.

I was using Razer Naga then switch to Logitech G9X for a while and now I'm using Roccat Kone Pure.

My mouse gave up on me today, was gonna try and fix it but the connector snapped...

Gonna go and try to buy a new one tomorrow, there is a local shop that has 1 left(MW edition, but I don't use the shell anyway). But I'm afraid it will have scratches on it etc from being shown to customers :(

Current daily driver is the Gigabyte Aivia M8600.
The old Mircrosoft intellimouse works fine as well after repairing the pinched cable.

So my dream mouse came in the mail today.

46345-0
Minimalist packaging

It's classy and feature-rich but does not come with unnecessary buttons. Well placed and well thought of.

46350-1
Side by side with my newly retired ME3 Imperator

46352-2
Well placed for my ring and pinky finger.

I'm very satisfied with it. The only thing I wished they couldve done is to add some kind of a weight adjustment.
Way too light for my taste but it'll be fine in the long run.

46354-3

9.7/10 mouse :)

If any of you people who have broken mice would care to send a few parts to me, I'd be grateful. I am looking for scrolling mechanisms that people consider to be good.
