thanks for your concern guys,
If at least the dent was on the bottom of the case, I could get over it I suppose,
but on the top left corner, it's really in my face.
Anyway Boost is on it, I hope something can be worked out

Considering I bought this to go with the set you see on it, you can understand why I'm doing the darker color, too.  Or at least more accurate red.

This thing is stupid heavy, too

I like the color of red, but I'm not planning to put red caps on mine. Either GMK Dolch, or DSA Dolch is where I'm going with it.

Kinda bummed that the red is more pink/red than RED. I wish I would have went with gunmetal now.... :(
Maybe I will change the color too. I hate the idea of having to put even more cash into this thing but I just can't have a pink keyboard.(nothing against those who like pink, I just don't)

better question is, where can u get it anodized for cheap.

i see lots of areas in los angeles, but i doubt they'd take the time to dip your board for anything under 100

May be we can do a mini run on one color so it's cost effective. But that involves shipping heavy alu cases all over the place. lol

Fortunately, it's just the top that needs redone, so it's not horribly heavy.  I'm going to start pricing monday.

Yea and being in Canada I would have to send it through customs another two times. I gotta keep mine in Ontario to keep the cost down. Halverson might get his re-colored too so that should reduce the overall price a bit. I think he has a few other things he wants to get done too. But he might keep it the way it is. Who knows

There's only one part that's colored and that's the top part unless you also mean the plate.  The bottom is mirror polished.

To be fair, it's almost exactly like the example pic in the OP (I think that's where I saw it).

How do you know which way to solder the resistors? I did only one key to test mine out and could not get it to work, and after a cursory glance at the TRiK software was not able to figure it out.

It would be great if someone could sort of write up a short guide on this build answering this and Elton's resistor question. With photos if possible.

eBay. I believe 0508 is in reference to its physical size. It is not its impedance (Ohms)

The retistors for the leds do not have polarity. They can be installed in either direction. This is opposed to normal diodes for switched which have polarity and must be installed in the proper direction. A diode is a valve, allowing the current to only flow in one direction. A resistor flows in both directions but limits, constrains, the amount of flow.
