you're probably going high end aluminum custom, but i'd love to see maybe a black or smoke grey polycarb insert to represent the tape. would help show off the cutouts of the front of the case as well on the lighter colors.

Very cool concept! Maybe outside of the realm of practicality but would be awesome to have an oled/led matrix that can scroll across where the tape would be.

Is this meant to be a "screw less design"?
There is 4 screws for the Top and the bottom case, and 6 for the plate
and might add some extra for the case, depends on the prototype

Thank you for your feedback, as for the tape i thought about using frosted PC with an LED strip n the back
but i don't want it to scream RGB
will try to do a PC tape and see how it will goes :thumb:

How is this supposed to mount? You have plate screws AND resting points for poron (or another material), I'm a little confused ;)
it is a top mount with gaskets, that was the best choice i found for the vibration
but i guess im going to change it to top mount

My two suggestions,
- Seconding @lecorsair, I think it would look fantastic to represent the magnetic ribbon. My personal thought was to use smoked polycarbonate, backlit by RGB LEDs in a chasing pattern.
- Color wise, I think it would be great to see a medium/dark, non-metallic gray akin to some of the high end Maxell and TDK cassettes that were available.
