Hi Guys-
I'm looking for some clarity on spring activation forces for old ALPS switches. I just disassembled two different boards, one with ALPS blues and one with ALPS Salmons. According to ripometer "pink" alps have an activation force of 65-70g, while blues should he a force of.. well 65-70g.
My measurements pretty reliably show 65g for both as well. So here's my issue. I'm looking to replace the springs on some of the switches and SPRiT's website recommends 55cN springs for both salmon and blue. 55cN converts to about 56g, so my question is where is the other 9g of activation force coming from? Are his numbers just wrong, or does the rest of the activation force come from the tactile/click leaf, or something else entirely?
