The video kinda explains it poorly.
The idea behind the paper mod ios that it raises the stem height so that when you press the switch, the cap won't ever brush against the top of the switch because it is much higher.
The sound would not be as good imo if you do paper, but it does solve the problem.
Some other things that work.
Bearing mod, put bearings and a little lube to stop the bearing from moving around which will also raise the cap-credit kanye from mechkeys
Use a longpole switch or some other switch where it doesn't affect r3
washers, think basically metal orings
Rubber orings- but like rubber membrane go brrr
