More than likely a combo of my bad photography and the lighting. The keys are all seated fine and were all good doing my typing test on the Poker 2

I did not know dolch mods could looks so cold and grey. Under that lighting they look almost like graphite.

Nah it's a Pure, I only posted it because Hofy expressed an urge for a GB in that color way. Wanted to show that it could be done with high quality caps already available.

Everyone seems to like them!  If I had the modelling expertise I'd really love to, the chrome finish seems a great fit for a keycap design. Although currently the image is only a Photoshop I made for fun. A matching duo set would be perfect with the helmets.

Thinking about the lights I imagine it wouldn't be possible to have such fine small LEDs but perhaps it could instead be pin holes or some such to create the effect using a regular size LED from the board, or alternatively some removable non-lit strip that snapped into place.

It really does look like it's waiting to be made, haha  :D

tbh I prefer the helmets post Discovery without the lights... but yeah you defo need to get these made!!

That photo's actually fairly accurate.  The colors came out darker and more subdued than the mockups in that gb post, so it does look greyer.  I really like the way it looks though.  :)

Indeed, it is titanium.  I believe it's brushed - I bought it second hand.
