Title: Thoughts on plateless Let's Split on tented wood case?
Post by: fnurl on Wed, 09 August 2017, 03:08:05
I am thinking about making a wooden tent shaped case for the Let's Split I am about to build (similar to a tented Ergodox).

To keep things simple and modifiable, I would like to skip the plates. Given that the PCBs are so small, my thoughts are that the plates are not as necessary?

Any comments on this idea?

I can't respond to whether the PCB holding the switches will be enough, but I wanted to chime in that I'm planning to do the same when my Let's Split arrives although I was planning to use the plate still.
