Lol. Meh one bar does not kill a song. The Eminem hate from "true hip hop heads" is getting old, it's like a trend to think Eminem is wack. I feel like he is bouncing back from the Revival backlash quite well. He's 2/2 for releases in 2018 in my book.

I've transcended past being annoyed by people who think Eminem is the greatest of all time and haven't listened to anything else, back to thinking he's the greatest of all time like I did 15 years ago. This is after listening to both mainstream and underground, as well as writing, producing, and recording my own music.

I generally hate all keycaps. Keycaps are for poofs. Real men touchtype on stems. Non-functional artisans are awesome, I use them for the ESC key ... escape is for cowards anyways, real men go frontal assault.

Was only being dramatic :))

The whole song bangs, Royce killed it.

Revival was pretty **** though. Last two songs were good, but not enough to pull the whole EP out of the ground.

What was his other feature this year?

Royce has been really impressive ever since he reconnected with Eminem. One of those guys that had it in him forever but just needed a bit of the limelight to really shine.

Eh, I liked Walk on Water and the track it leads into, Believe. Thought Chloraseptic was good too. Then it kind of falters for quite a while, Framed was sick, and Offended was impressive, even if the hook was ugh. Castle and Arose were indeed highlights. I agree though that overall it was a bit of a disappointment. I think the biggest issue is that he was trying to make a little bit for everyone and what most of his die-hard fans want is raw spitting or super personal stuff like Castle/Arose. Mostly he just needs to limit his pop features to like once or twice an album, not like half of the damn thing. He needs to work more with Dre/Mr. Porter/Alchemist, produce things himself, work with some newer producers or classic ones. He should completely drop X-Ambassadors (though as a husband and a dad, I did like the Bad Husband track) and Rick Rubin (he's a great producer... for certain people. I don't think he really meshes with Eminem as well as they think they do). Get the Bass Brothers back too.

I was referring to the Chloraseptic remix w/ 2 Chainz and Phresher that dropped in January.

This was such a cool video, glad he's rapping again. I have been a fan of Gambino since Camp, a fan of Donald Glover since Derrick Comedy. Unlike a lot of people my wife and I really loved Camp, super personal, but also a fun album. Donald is so ridiculously talented and hardworking. Rapper/singer/actor/writer/comedian/producer/director, and apparently a good dancer too. An octuple threat?

Nah, this track came out before the big loot box fiasco. It's legit about getting tickets for not keeping your parking meter paid. Aesop's verse first is making fun of the meter maid person, then talks about paying the ticket.

I can see where you get that from though - Aesop says "pay-to-play-to-lose" which sounds like it might be referencing pay-to-win; Rob Sonic mentions "quicker to finish Halo" which seems in the same vein.

I think the rap song is literally another rap song about F2P mmorpgs that were popular some six years ago. Siege wars, horses, harpies, etc. People would pay upwards of $100+ a month on gotchas and new mounts; which basically translates to loot boxes in today's terminology. Just my two cents either way.

TESTING:

Notable tracks: Tony Tone; Fukk Sleep; Praise The Lord; Buck Shots; Gunz N Butter; Kids Turned Out Fine; Hun43rd; Changes; Black Tux, White Collar; Purity.

It gets better every single time I listen to it. I wasn't too into it the first time, but it's grown massively on me. Production is clean as ****. FKA has an amazing feature; it's the first time I've liked a Juicy J feature; French Montana has a good feature too, but the whole track doesn't stand out too much; Frank Ocean, nothing needs to be said apart from dope.

Overall, super super solid album. Definitely going to listen to it for the new several months.

DAYTONA:

Notable tracks: The Games We Play; Hard Piano; Come Back Baby; Santeria; What Would Meek Do?

Too. Damn. Short.  Don't like the beat on If You Know You Know, same story with Infrared. Other tracks are pure 9/10s.

Whoop/Scoop.
