I think I'm overly prepared for tomorrow's Clack and Brobot sale. The last Brobot was at 3am my time and I fudged it up by submitting from the iPhone in the bed in a groggy manner. This time around, I'm more prepared. I even have the Mac on a separate tethered 3G network in case the house network failed. And I've switch off the Dropbox, One Drive, have windows updated, no Steam running, etc so that I don't have some background task downloading patches and slowing down my email submission. Depends on the client. Gmail will tell you what time the gmail server receives your message. It still takes any number of time to jump from the gmail server to the outlook/hotmail server. That is why most people that get in are actually on outlook/hotmail email since they are on the same server their latency is next to zero. I tried the outlook email address this time after 10:00:01 to gmail wasn't fast enough last time.

It looks like your mail server received it at that time. When outlook.com received it is another story. Nothing is certain that you failed yet, keep hope alive.

The problem with sending a second or two earlier is that when it reach Bro or CF's inbox, they will see the time as 15.59 and 16:19 respectively and will disqualified you. It is better to click send on the dot or at the 59.5th second so that it reach them right on the dot. This is what I did and when I verified the message source, I see the message sent at 16:00:00:0016 up to millisecond/microsecond. Obviously a lot of people does the same so the messages piled up and became 1st come 1st served.
