What we need now is CC to produce another run of Jacks and sell on EK for $30 :p
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Well you are part of the problem. Going around quoting inflated Ebay prices as gospel. You are hurting the market just as much as these sales are.

I don't like it anymore than you do, but you can't just stick your head in the sand and pretend those prices aren't the current reality. It's public info that anyone could put together in a couple minutes time.

Go ahead and list a Jack for $700 on any keyboard on the planet. See what the reaction is to that.

Ebay prices are noting to base an items value off of, especially something as not-oft listed as a CC. As a game collector, and friend of many resellers and small store owners, I can tell you no one even thinks twice about Ebay auction prices with any real thought.

Well...I mean, you wouldn't look at eBay prices to base the prices in your store off of.  But if someone asked "what has this sold for recently?" and the recent sale was on eBay, you can't deny that it sold for that price on eBay.  You just have to make them aware that buying/selling in a store is a different market.

I've never once claimed those prices were "gospel" or that they were even remotely reasonable so back the **** up. I simply posted screen shots of a bunch of auctions THAT WERE ALL LINKED TO ON GH ANYWAYS. I don't monitor ebay for clacks, I find out about them through posts on here so it's all readily available info. I didn't post the pics to try to say they were worth anything at all, it was purely for documentation that those keys sold for those prices. People can interpret those numbers however the hell they want.

The saddest thing about getting into at least half the daily threads and not winning is that I have the perfect gif to use should I win and it will never be seen otherwise.

If the based RNG gods should deign me fit to win, I have already decided to offer up a sacrifice and shall sing their praises throughout the threads.

Hey, anybody staying up for Clack's weekend 3am sale?

Also begging. Always been a huge fan of the halloween clacks, Jack and Candy Corns are my favourite!
It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.
