65% / 75% optical keyboard PCB
« on: Tue, 27 August 2019, 13:11:52 »
Hello everyone,

I'd like to train myself on small keyboards.
I did some random google seach ... but couldn't find my holy grail yet.
So I thought I can build it by mylself ... but couldn't find the right PCB to start with.

The feature I whish to have :
- Layout 65% or 75% keyboard for optical switches
- usb-c connector and bluetooth

I don't know if such a PCB exists...
60% (iGK61p) is NOT an option I'd like to keep the directional arrows as physical keys.
If I'm not mistaken, I can't use the iGK64 for optical switches.

If I have no alternative, I'll need to go for a TKL keyboard layout...

Thanks for your help
Best Regards,

From your link it looks like iGK64 supports Cherry MX switches. Alas, none of these are optical.
I think you likely need different software in the controller, and PCB circuitry, to support optical.
Today's quote: '...“but then the customer successfully broke that.”

Sorry it was a typo, I mean can't :)
I fixed the mistake in the post.

Apparently I missed the fact that iGK62 is an optical PCB !
But, no bluetooth.

I'll think about it.
