As an experiment, I picked up a CM Storm QFR with blue switches and replaced them all with stock whites
Is $210 a fair price for this?
Was typing up a similar response.
What I don't understand is people want to take the price of the board plus switch price, but you need to subtract the price of the original switches as well unless they are also included.
Even so...I was actually looking at TKL boards and here's what I got
Used but good QFR: 65-80
100 White switches: 50
Soldering + Desoldering: 0
I love soldering and it's a JOY to me. BUT even If I got paid at my salary to desolder, 1-2 hours for a board still won't make up the extra 100 (I make a modest amount. 50 an hour, NO)
This doesn't take into account depreciation, buyer risk, and the uncertainty that comes with your solder job (we have no way of knowing if you're good or not)
I'd value your board at 100 ish, probably less. That's just me. If it was lubed and spring swapped you could probably charge more for labor and finders/sourcing fee.
