… Is having a third colour really a cost issue with dyesub? Even PBTFans can still sell at a budget price with tripleshot, so I don’t think price is something to be too concerned about for this set.

Pretty sure it should not be an issue but I will definitely have a conversation with them once the basic testing is done.

The initial testing of novelties were passed. Color matching will soon begin.
Regarding costs for adding a third color, I was told it should not be a problem.

No, not at this point. Since the photo were from the factory and not that good. Plus the colors were randomly chosen. So it does not make much sense to post them and give a wrong impression.
However, before GB, proper samples should come to me and I will definitely be posting them.

Its a very dark blue.
The mods/sublegends are a very light blue.

One question thats been coming from some people is whether you would like to have international alienese sublegends.

I am a bit hesitant on adding on the current kit since, it has some mandatory sublegends for example for DE layout Q,@ etc.
However, adding tertiary legends or even extra keys might just be a solution.

We have received R1 color samples. They look superb.
However, due to the complexity of the project, we need to verify some of the prints. We asked MW for new samples with those complex novelties.

A lot of MW sets had very good samples, and then the actual production sets shipped with major QC issues. For example, MW Heresy was remade, and the remade sets are also scuffed so they are remaking it again. Heresy had great samples! And Heresy isn't the only MW set with big QC problems.

The QC is something that would/should be improved as far as I know.
In any case : The customers should get what they are paying for and nothing less. That's why the vendors rejected the heresy orders. MW has to make sure they deliver what they are getting paid for.
From a designer POV, I can only rely on the samples they make. The vendors are finally delivering the "mass produced" items and its their job to reject deliveries if they are not good enough.
So the first thing, I should confirm is if their samples are good enough to even consider going through with them.
If not, as I said, I will look into others.

I understand your point, but I hope you also consider the success rate of their mass production. As a customer, I have no interest purchasing a set in GB, if there is a reasonable chance that I will have to deal with that kind of hassle. That would be unfortunate, as I love this design (especially the alien alphas and crop circles), but have had to deal with too many quality issues and delays with other GBs.

Absolutely, I agree. I will see how it goes. Even as a designer, I dont like the hassle. So from a consumer POV, its totally valid.

Not really.
Its on hold as we are also looking into new manufactures and their samples. Once I receive new samples and am satisfied, I will update this.
