Also there will be an internal engraving, the one you see.

GB should be in Mid-March 2023. Should have protos in all colours before then, which is when I will update this thread properly.

Oh noes! That's like 4x HHKBs at the same time; Tempo, Kei, Brutal V2, and Martingale. And hopefully Lily right around the corner maybe :-D

I can't justify that, now I'll have to get picky.

And there's the MM-HHKB as well, though I won't get that because they've got too many GBs running at the moment. I'll wait until they fulfill Class 60 at least.

For me it's well photographed prototypes, the unique brass accent on the DB area, the low profile, the low angle, the way the PCB is top mounted, the unique green color, and the classic side profile. I am hesitant also because we know this is his first group buy. At least it's limited to 300 units. 100 would probably make me more comfortable. I have recently been involved in failed group buys from Mechs & Co, Noxary, and MKB. I've also had 3 keyboard group buys turned into vaporware over the past decade with a loss of about a grand. It's a coin toss. But I like the design a lot.

Aesthetically it looks really nice, and there is some complexity here with the machining, not saying this a jane v2 in terms of complexity but I wouldn't say it's basic.

Is it worth 249? ehhhhhh I guess. It does contain a lot of stuff (2 pcbs and a case which adds to cost) but it is more basic and a pretty large moq considering this hobby which drives down price. Personally I would say it's worth it assuming quality control is very top notch. But you're not getting a good deal (not saying it is overpriced at all, just regularly priced)

This piqued my interest because it is:

Plateless
Top Mount
Low Front Height

I never thought I'd get all three of them in a 60% layout, so I guess you could say it caters to this niche.

Simple outside but complex inside - the low profile design & unique pcb top mount is not something everyone can pull off with such precision.
