Hi all-

I am suspecting that my cable is faulty. Does anyone has a spare cable you don't use?

Thanks!

Why do you think that the cable may be bad? IBM's old cables are pretty well made. The F XT can flip out if the grounding wire isn't securely screwed down. I bought my F XT with a cut cable and just bought a nice HOSA MIDI cable to splice in as a replacement.

Are you able to use the same cable that the AT uses? If so, here you go:
https://www.redmarket.store/product-page/nos-at-cable

edit: literally says that you can't (without additional splicing) on the page...lol sorry!

You're right. I fixed the problem. It's not the grounding wire but that screw on top of the controller... On that note, do you know where I may be able to get a case?

It says on the page that it won't work with XT without splicing but thanks!

That's good to hear.

I spotted that a few days ago. No bottom portion though. I would love a beat up old lower casing for an AT myself so I can modify it for a removable cable with my conscience intact.
