should have asked earlier but is there any hope for buying multiple key logos as extras after the GB?

Senter mentioned that no extras can be purchased aside from the extra plate and PCB in the form. This buy already had too many combinations that Senter didn't want to make it more confusing with extra anything else.

definitely, makes sense. was hoping for a chance after the GB though because swapping out different colored keys logos allows for more potential colorways

Awesome, got my invoice and paid it :D

Senter, is there gonna be an updated list of the orders? I'd like to see if my choice was completely unique or not.

VE.A Acrylic Clone, Zealios v2 67g, GMK DMG | KBD75v2, Kailh Pro Purple, Tai hao Blue/Gray | YMD96, Hako Royal Clears, JTK Orange on White

RGB per key would indeed require a board redesign, so don't get your hopes up.

I'm pretty new to this so I'm just wondering why it'd require a PCB redesign. Is this because there would need to be a controller?

If that's the case, can I just swap out the led's with which ever colour I'd like to use?

You can desolder and put in any colored two pin LED you'd like.

RGB Led's require more pins than single color.  Your typical SMD RGB LED is four pin.

I actually asked the same questions on my first GB, long ago :)

Paid both of my invoices earlier today. Quite excited to be in this group buy.

White top, Space Grey mid, White bottom with Space Grey plate/weight/logo for me.
The gf's is White body with Yellow weight and no logo.

Probably not the most exotic color choices, but I'm happy.

One thing I'm a bit curious about, mostly because some friends were talking about theirs...
Do we know how much each piece will weigh? I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering how heavy their finished board(s) will be.

I went for Space Grey top and bottom with a Anodized blue middle.

I got a blue plate, but I'm probably going to need to get an ISO plate cut; if someone is running one in Europe that would be great.

Relax. Senter said he'd do the 3rd wave of invoices once the GB closes.

Also, invoice paid! Can't wait to receive this board. Going to pair mine with GMK Metaverse R2 once it comes out

Yeap, Senter mentioned that multiple orders will have combined shipping. Cost will still be higher than shipping a single board due to weight, but it'll be cheaper than shipping two or more separately.

You might be able to still get in on it if you message foxlab, it's worth a shot. Other than that, there's always the secondary market or potentially getting a personal order in, which would probably cost more of course.

We've started using these rubber inserts on screw holes during the E-coating. The screw holes will be clean after E-coating.

Man, those e-pink, e-teal and e-yellow colours look fresh AF. Kinda makes me regret not getting something more colourful than my white-white-black version. But then again, the e-white looks so clean, too.

When you get pictures of the hotswap pcb, can you take a pic of both front and back? I'm trying to picture what you mean when you say leds strips can be added later. That said, are underglow smd's absolutely off the table? I saw a prior post where you say they have a high failure rate but a lot of the other high end boards(e6.5 and think6.5) as well as lower end boards have underglow with no obvious issues. I've been intrigued by gasket mount and PC cases so this checks all my marks except the missing underglow.

Sure. I'll post later when I receive the prototype.

I mean something like this

Show Image

The difference is that you don't need to solder the wire on the MCU.

Here's a photo of a Leaf 60 PCB.

Show Image

Can you see the VOG pads? They are for soldering the WS2812 LED strips.

So, because I'm very new at this, I need to ask:

V = Voltage
O = Data out
G = Ground

Is this correct. Sorry if this is obvious.

I'm not who asked, but...
I'm always a fan of white or black PCBs, but I went into this groupbuy expecting the yellow one that was shown.

If the production run ends up being yellow PCBs, not a big deal to me since you can't really see the PCB in my case.
If it ends up being something like white or black, then that's cool too.

White or black I think would be good neutral colors. I was just thinking of the PC top case owners with PC plates, the yellow might clash with some key sets. Think you mentioned the foam/rubber filler possibly being clear too which would show off the pcb color as well. Like somebody mentioned, if you are open to it I think a poll would be fair.

OK, that makes sense to me. Now I incline to choose white if not too many disagree. White doesn't clash with any keysets.

Why does the pcb color matter when you can't even see it through alu case? Unless your case is PC, I don't see a point in wanting colorful PCB.

Please do this, but could you give people a chance to change their order?

I entered this GB for someone else and he initially chose different colours but went with yellow in the end because of the PCB.

I actually hoped for a yellow PCB (went with all PC case), it gives a nice touch and combines well with the keycaps/theme I went for. But I guess white is OK if yellow triggers a lot of people.

I joined this group buy in part because the PCB was so colorful! It's also why I went with a polycarbonate board to be honest. Please don't change it, or make the color change optional! In fact, if you can customize the color of the PCB that would be even better.
