Good news everyone. I just confirmed with Signature Plastics that all bars 2u and greater have 2u concave molds available. There is no extra charge. This would have only affected the ergo kit since all other kits were labeled as such.

TLDR: Ergo kit 2u bars are no convex at no additional charge

Uhhh this got me confused. I would assume there is nothing unusual about concave 2u spacebars (targeted at Ergodox) and most of the sets offer it either way.
However the usual concern around Ergo kit would be whether we can get at least 2x convex 2u. This is important for Boardwalk users and pretty often they needed to walk away with nothing because of it (looking at you, KAT sets with 6x concave 2u spacebars  :-[ ). Myself included.

Maybe I got it all wrong, as I am not sure what 'c' in kit description means in the first place. Can we agree in community to use at least 'cnx'/'cnv' or just full words?

So, what's the story here in the end...?

I thought the c was for convex. Are all the minibars actually just blank keycaps?

C is for convex.

There was a discussion in the IC thread (while this thread was waiting to be approved) about the bars in the Ergo kit since I forgot to label them. Since then, I have confirmed with SP that there is no charge to make the 2u in the ergo kit convex.

I'll change the kit image shortly. For now, nothing has changed except for the Ergo kit. All other kits were labeled appropriately.

I don't mean to alarm everyone, but this set could be doing much better. Unfortunately the main vendor is a bit worried about it. As of right now we'll need to buy a substantial amount of extras to hit MOQ. There are less than 10 days left, but if you were going to wait to the very last minute, don't.

I'd like to see this set produced, not only because I put a lot of my own precious time into it, but also because this doesn't exist. Although other manufacturer's have improved their SA profile keycaps, Signature Plastics is still considered the best.

I leave you with some more renders:

I hope it hits MOQ, no other way to get space cadet in other colorways until who knows when. Wish the sublegends were more popular in random sets :(

Good news! We've hit MOQ on most kits thanks to extras. Not all vendors are reporting so there's a good chance everything will hot MOQ.

Again, this closes on Friday.

Does this include ergo mods? Little concerned because I just ordered what I needed to cover an ErgoDox EZ, so without ergo mods meeting MOQ I'll only get half a set.

Yes. MKUltra has committed to buying out the Ergo Mods if they need it.

Well, first things first: Thanks nasp for designing this fantastic set and seeing it through. Thanks to the vendors for buying extras and getting this set to the finish line.
It is rough to see that I am one of seven people who opted for NorDe. In face of all the whining whenever there is no NorDe set, I'd like to see more people put their money where their mouths are, otherwise I'll soon have to suffer the fate of weird brackets I never use next to my enter key.
There are lots of great sets running right now and the lead times are certainly a strong deterrent, but I really hope more people will opt for timeless classics like this instead of short-lived meme sets in the future.
Thanks again, nasp.
Best,
Johannes

Long time no see!

Color samples (CMY) are being sent to One Creative Mind as we speak to verify their accuracy.

As I'm sure no one is surprised about, this set will likely be delayed a few months as SP is behind on their schedule. The earliest this will deliver is December of this year but most likely it will be pushed to first thing 2023. Hoping for the best but we'll have to wait and see.

Color matching:

Unfortunately Pantone doesn't sell plastic CMY chips so we are having to compare with paper. The magenta is off by quite a bit so we are looking to have that remade. The others aren't identical matches, but we believe they are close enough tonally that they can be made as-is, and this also has the benefit of not further delaying the whole set.

Pantone doesn't sell CMY Plastic chips, but I've asked them to sell me a magenta one, or at least one very similar to magenta. This is because in order to have magenta remade, SP needs us to send them another Pantone color code. If any of you have suggestions for a Pantone color in magenta, or very close, and has a matching plastic color chip, please do let me know.

I haven't heard anything on the contrary. We are still trying to color match the magenta BTW. OCM should have the next Magenta sample this week.

Just chiming in since I will be on leave for a few months.

The set is estimated to finish in Q1 of 2023. All color matching has been complete. We ended up going with Pantone 807C for the magenta. It ended up being a much closer match than the first sample; however, there's a good chance that the black legend will "wash" through the magenta cap since the magenta plastic is a bit transparent. It looks like this would have happened with the first sample too though, so I don't think there's any way around it.

Cheers!  :thumb:

Interesting to me that they're still saying that, when MKUltra has put theirs in stock and available. Hopefully Kono updates soon and ships out, not sure if I missed when the sale was open but I would have bought from MKU instead if I'd known they were a seller for these.

Edit: got the “check your address” email today, March 8th, should be shipping soon™

Has anyone who bought through MKUltra received their orders yet? I'm a little worried some of the sets I ordered during the group buy, and still haven't received, went on sale as deeply-discounted in-stock extras and sold out.
