Good quality keycaps with custom legends?
« on: Tue, 12 December 2017, 11:07:42 »
Hello everyone.

I basically want my keyboard to look like this:

As you can see, it's a standard ISO-ES layout, except for the 16 keys marked with red. I know one option is to order from WASD or Max Keyboards, but I know their keycaps are famous for being too thin and wearing off fast, so I'd prefer to avoid them.

I asked Varmilo if they could do it because I know they use dye sub PBTs, which would be much better. They told me that it would be difficult because “the legend or image are too much cornered, it is very hard to position when dye sub”.

Are there any other options out there? They keycaps don't necessarily have to be PBT, I don't mind ABS. I just don't want the legends to wear off in a couple of months.

Thanks.

I had a §ů R1 Cherry profile cap dyesubbed by imsto, you can see it here. It's actually white rather than beige so you can actually notice the difference. Also know that imsto seems to have gone missing lately.

I can't really help you for the other rows.

Thank you for your reply, I'll see if I can at least have custom legends for R1 keycaps.
