Group Buy Thread

Ketchup or mustard?

Inspired by the seemingly-mandatory diners present in most of the shows we watched growing up. Wouldn't it be cool to deck out your keyboard like it was actually part of your favorite 90's sitcom? It would, it would be totally cool. Proud to introduce to you GMK Diner.

A simple yet complete base kit covering your typical 60-100%, including HHKB and Alice layouts. ISO and minimal 40s support included.

Colors

Left to right: RAL 5007, RAL 5000, RAL 3028 and RAL 1023. 2 decades ago these would've been the brightest colors you can imagine, but the many many years of sitting in a diner had a fading effect on them. Is that grease I smell?

Changelog

May 5 2021: Removed second 2u spacebar, reshuffled legends for macro novelties (so that people who buy both novelty kits don't end up with duplicates).
May 6 2021: Added deskmat renders.
May 7 2021: Added minimal 40s support (R2 1.75U backspace, R3 1.25U tab, R3 1.5U return).
May 12 2021: Added vendors

Your iso support is off. Choose between terminal or UK, I wouldn’t do both. Also, why the second 2u space in spacebars kit? Glwic!

Could we get three key 40s (r2 1.75u backspace, r3 1.25u tab, r3 1.5u enter) added to the base kit?

Love the colors here, reminds me of Nickelodeon/Cartoon Network show representations of diners.

My guess, based on the texture is that the answer is going to be yes: Please make the background of the Pillow65 render into a deskmat and you'll have my wallet.

Very interesting concept, glad to see a set going outside of the "typical" mod/alpha/accent color blocking, this one surely does not look like GMK Olivia.

To everyone asking for adding keys to the base kit: With GMK's pricing being what it is recently I'm very careful making sure it's as light as possible. I'm balancing compatibility with base kit price. Either make an expensive set covering most keyboards but affordable by few, or try to make it a little bit more affordable by sacrificing a little compatibility. I'll keep listening though, but would need a stronger signal.

How much additional cost do those three keys add? I'm not trying to be facetious -- I'm legitimately curious, because I do not have a good idea of what these key additions cost.

Less than a week to go. Thanks for all the feedback during the IC, it really had an impact. Artisan prototypes are almost done, and so is the prototype for a cable from Space. First set of samples of the deskmats had some color issues so we’re doing another round of those soon.

't was the Friday before the group buy... How about some artisans, huh? There will be 2: a R1 1u ketchup bottle, and a R3 2.25u ketchup squirt. Both are aluminum with a white coating, and use 3 different colors of enamel fill. They're quite unique IMO.
