Got myself a kitchen scale, and the fully built weight with SA caps are as follows;thic. I like. Will get one.
Paradox: 1943g (4.28 lbs)
Reflex: 1440g (3.17 lbs)
Not the heaviest 60%, but the Paradox is up there. Reflex is definitely the more portable of the 2.
Why is it so expensive?
I've been watching this keyboard since the ic. However, I can't join the GB due to the budget problem.. but if you run cheaper GB in the future, I will surely join. Good luck with your first GB! :)

The boards are really interesting and I’m on the edge of trying to get one.
One question: How the the 7075 different from the 6063 aluminum? Are there any noticeable changes in feel expected?
The same goes for the hard anodizing...is it just more durable or does it also give a different feel/look?
There will be minimal noticeable difference between the materials for their application on keyboard cases. Unless you double duty your keyboard as a blunt weapon. :D

Hard anodizing actual have functional purpose, as it is very abrasion resistant, and does not take on scratches easily unless impacted. Normal anodizing is mostly cosmetic with some scratch protection, as the anodizing is very thin, and you do need to baby it.
The look & feel of both types of anodizing depends on the treatment before the actual anodizing, such as sandblasting/polishing/chemical polishing etc. more then the actual type of anodizing. I like the idea with the slits but just not sure how it'll play out. Aaaalso, would it be possible to swap out the brass plate for an alu plate as part of the base kit purchase?

Sure, we can do that. However again, this is removing the reserved pool for invoicing backouts. As there are already at least 1 that have informed me they will back out of the Reflex, I hope everyone at least prepare for the worse.

I knew the price was steep, but still didn’t expect Reflex to struggle like this to meet moq. I think it’s quite a unique and interesting design. Still hope the remaining spots will fill!

I think there would be if it was a more premium Tofu. So brass of course, and perhaps a more premium aluminum with better anodization? Also, top mount instead of tray mount.
Using the more durable 7075-T6 aluminium would especially set it apart, but I don't know if using that aluminum would significantly raise the cost.

Hope you can come back with something similar that’s a bit easier to machine. Even if you were just to take the paradox and simplify the weight to a Jane-like toblerone or simpler plate, it seems like the costs could be made a little more palatable.

Reducing cost for manufacturing is a combination of savings I will be able to pass down to subsequent GBs. However the designs for Paradox and Reflex is final, as any modifications to the design will simply increase development costs even further, and dilute back into each GB pricing.

Prototype for my next design should arrive next week, so it's well into development.
There will be 18 sets made, with target pricing well below $400 for base kit.
The IC will go up when the design is ready for production. There will not be a long IC like for the Reflex & Paradox.

Yes, it will be the same mounting system and 60% layout. I'd like to finish a 60% GB before moving on to other layouts, as market available PCB compatibility is a top priority for me.

Other then Pemdas, everyone should have had their invoice payments refunded.
Pemdas will be refunded ASAP, most likely by Monday, because PayPal Singapore is terrible.
