Not that I know of, I did some mockups earlier in photoshop a few months ago. Maybe that was it?

Pretty sure vizion is referring to this, in which case hashbaz is correct about it being an engraved key from WASD. It's even stated in this thread on TL.

Yeah someone got it laser engraved/etched with the logo from WASD, forgot where the thread was though

I too mourn the loss of said orifices, I loves me dem orifices. Sadly I don't think they can do better doubleshots than this.

Eeh, I'm fine with it. I still think you could have easily made at least the eyes and nostril work by shrinking the size of the holes in the SVG. We made several adjustments for those sort of issues in the Portal GB... and then we ended up doing dye subs anyways so meh.

I kinda want one of the 3 I ordered to be the old style just for kicks. I wonder if Melissa would be okay with that lol.

Problem with dye sub is that they cant do the color combination we want. For pad printing they could not find any matching color (they have very limited ink colors). I'm not sure adjusting the size of the eyes and nose would have made any difference. They were already smaller than the minimum requirements.

Hmm, alright. Yeah its cool. If I can talk Melissa into sending you one of those original style keys for one of mine, would you be cool with sending it my way? It all depends on the setup time and cost to switch molds real quick.

I agree with you, but at the same time I do think it will look a lot better in real life.

Remember that it will all be rounded since the cutter is round.

I asked Melissa if the mouth would be doable with their smallest cutter + offset from the edge. I'm hesitant of doing another test since this one took so long... Asked her if she could recommend a good solution. Hoping to get a reply within 48 hours.

Melissa was fast today

Sadly: Doing the mouth is just not possible, the quality is simply beyond what is possible with their tools. If we want to continue testing we'd have to do a $65 prototype and have it sent to me and continue from there but that would take.. quite a long time. Don't really think that's an option.

Any objections to go ahead with the design from test #2? Otherwise I will confirm the order tomorrow.

I may sell mine depending on how it looks in person when I get it. I wasn't a fan of going through with it if we couldn't get the eye, nose, and mouth in there. I just don't check Geekhack enough. I missed my chance to veto this mold, as well as missing out on the Starcraft doubleshots since they had to re-create the group buy thread. If any of you have a Zerg Escape key ordered from that group buy, I'd be interested in trading my Team Liquid key for one of those.
