This is daringrun. The new year is coming soon, and wish you a happy new year in advance.We have been constantly trying layout,as DR-70F, Flip 6p,
we know that these configurations are not the common ones, but we still like to do so. Today we bring our third keyboard design "Polygon-7 "，abbreviated as “ PG-7”



1. About the Layout
-why we design this layout?
65% keyboard itself is a compact layout,If you need to add more custom keys, then you need to use more combination of keys to achieve it.
Need to remember various custom keys become a pain for many players(suddenly I can't remember what I set?),so we add more macro custom keys and push buttons
 on the left and right side of PG-7.

Scene 1: We need to switch between PC/ipad for wireless use, so we can set left side custom keys to bluetooth 1,2,3 device, that we can switch bluetooth just by our little finger.
The right side custom keys can be set to USB/Bluetooth/2.4G switching.

Scene 2: Our designers set custom push buttons to some commonly used combination keys or macros, which used to be achieved through FN+ combination keys,
but now can be achieved with a single button. These can all be customized according to your own usage habits.

2. About the design
In fact, the design you see now has been modified many times. Each modification carries different ideas and creativity, but unfortunately, each time it is denied and
forced to start over. However, it is these negative forces that drive us to constantly pursue better designs. Looking back on this process, we have gone through countless discussions
and modifications. Every time the ID of the design makes us feel lost, after each denial, we re-examine the needs and goals in order to find a better solution.

For us, design is not only for the pursuit of visual effects, but more importantly, it is to take into account practicality and recognition. In the current design, I think the most satisfying part is the front.
It not only has a unique appearance, but also fully considers the actual needs and usage habits of users. The design of the front is simple and generous, with smooth lines, a refreshing feeling.





The side is designed with classic HG-line and multi-level bevel waistline.


The second is the weight design on the back. We did not adopt a blank back design, but hoped that it could have a recognizable design like the front,
so we adopted the same CD pattern effect as the front button, and used CNC processing + polished mirror + PVD processing on stainless steel pvd weight.
I know the cost is not low, but at least the final result is satisfactory.


3. About the structure
At present, the most popular sound on the market is crisp sound and deep sound,to reach the two more extreme sound,we distinguish two internal structure
Plate: 1.5mm PP, ALU, FR4 plate

PCB:1.6mm tri-mode soldered PCB(non flex cut), 1.2mm tri-mode hotswap PCB(flex cut),1.6mm tri-mode hotswap PCB(non flex cut)

We suggest:
Alu plate+1.6mm pcb+crisp switches
FR4 plate+1.6mm pcb+crisp switches
PP plate +1.2mm pcb+ deep switches


We use pcb gasket mount and top mount, adopt 40° gasket and to reduce the pinging,we make a space-avoidance design on the PCB tab,concentrate the stress points on both sides.
This way is more conducive to build soldered pcb support plateless.

4.About the playability
From above introduction,there has at least 4 combinations internal structure.
Alu plate+1.6mm pcb/FR4 plate+1.6mm pcb/PP plate+1.2mm PCB/1.6mm soldered pcb, more combinations depend on your personal choice.
This time, we sell plate, foam individually that not include in the an essential default keyboard kit, so you can choose individually what you want.

We also adopted a CNC bead quick-release solution combined with a double pogopin magnetic solution, the keyboard can be easy to open and change internal structure.
Even in TOP mount, quick release can be used because our custom left and right sides are PCB-gasket, so it will not affect quick release.
