New guy

Hi guys, after thinking and dreaming and talking everyone's ears off about it, I've finally made the jump and purchased a mechanical keyboard.

At first I was planning to get a Unicomp Ultra Classic, but somewhere along the way I decided I needed a backlight, and somewhere else along the way, I decided I needed a really unnecessary backlight (you see where I'm going with this?).

Sooo, I got myself a Ducky Shine II, with white LEDS; keep it classy.

I am in love with the Happy Hacking Keyboard but it is more than I want to spend on clothing, food, and shelter, let alone a keyboard.

Side note: How do you guys feel about the Happy Hacking Lite 2? Those are pretty cheap, no?

Anyway, hi there. I'm GordonZed. I'm Canadian, eh.

Happy Hacking Lite 2 isn't Topre, just rubber dome (an oddly overpriced one, at that.) I'm not sure how they feel, though.

Nothing classy about a full-bright Ducky Shine.  It is full of awesome though :)

From what I've heard, they feel decent, for a rubber dome.

Yeah I've heard that too.

Thanks for the welcome guys, glad to see a fellow Canadian or two here :P

So my Ducky Shine II is on it's way and I'm probably gonna send it back or sell it to someone local since these are slightly difficult to get around here. The moment I saw and touched a Filco Majestouch Ninja, I knew I made the wrong choice. So I'm getting the Ninja, tenkeyless, compact, minimal: sextified.

Yeah, I'm indecisive, but it was a bit of a rush purchase (pay day reflex). If there's anyone in or around the GTA (Toronto, Canada) who wants a Ducky Shine II (MX blue with white LEDs) without the hassle of shipping, PM me; probably easier than putting it on Craigslist.

By the way, I did not know NCIX had retail locations, with an aisle full of mechanical keyboards. Brilliant! And I have one just down the street. :D
