Plates will be shipping out tomorrow morning. They would have shipped today but I wanted to make sure everyone was given ample time to contact me if they wanted to cancel/change their order. If I haven't heard from you by that point I'm going to assume you're okay with the v1 plate and go ahead and ship your order.

Thanks for all your hard work Strict, I'm very happy this GB turned out successful.

Sorry, no tracking info. I suspect the CONUS plates will arrive before the end of the week. Not sure when the international ones will show up, this is my first experience shipping outside of the country.

Got my plates today, too. I have to say, these have probably the cleanest laser work, with the tightest tolerances, I've ever seen in a laser cut plate. I've participated in multiple buys, and sent work to online shops, and these are the best I've seen. There is some minor surface scratching all over the front, which detracts from the finish a bit, but the cutting is out-freakin'-standing. Kudos to the shop you found, strict.

I tried with my phone but too much glare and direct sunlight to get a decent pic. I'm attaching 1 so there's something. I'll have to bring my camera into work for the future.

They look really good. The "slight scratches and scuffs" mentioned in the OP are pretty minimal on the top side and don't take away from the plates at all IMHO.

Edit: cropped and rotated my terrible photo :)

Yeah, the scratches on the finish don't bother me at all. I like to use 80-grit sandpaper on mine, anyway, to give them a non-brushed, sanded finish. After that I sometimes decide to paint them, usually satin black.

They aren't bent or warped in any way. The edges are nice and clean. And even the chamfers on the corners are cleanly cut, not ground.

Got my two plates today. I am very impressed as well. I mostly agree with what everyone who has received theirs has said above. Mine do have some slight bends in them, but that is not a bid deal. I don't think that can be helped with normal package handling, and it won't take much to bend them straight.

Awesome job strict! To be honest, these cost more than I would have liked for them to, but I see now that your shop does good work.
I stay busy with work and family these days, but I'm still around, lurking.

got my plate

mine was a little bit curved when i got it and it was actually tearing through the packaging and you could tell what it was without lifting the package, but the plate wasnt damaged, easy to bend straight and the manufacturing scratches don't bother me much

the quality is impressive

fits the QFR PCB and QFR Case just fine (there wasnt any doubts to begin with)

I got my two plates today and they are awesome.

Thanks for running this strict! For everyone else's sake, I hope you consider running a round 2 after you've recovered from this one. If not, I may just keep these pristine as an investment. Just kidding.

Got mine in the mail yesterday! looks pretty sweet, and I took apart my FC200R to see if it will line up properly. It looks like I may have to dremel a couple of the mounting holes to get it to sit right in the 200R's case, but otherwise it looks like things will match up nicely :)

Yep, It was just in an envelope and that's all it needed! SS for the win.

I'm 100% satisfied with this plate and just need to figure out what I'm going to use it with. maybe a direct wire KB with standoffs or something. maybe a qfr. maybe phantom. The sky's the limit!

I also got mine today.  Scuffed but straight with clean cuts.  She'll be a beauty once I finish the jdcarpe method of polishing stainless steel.

If anyone's interested, I posted some pics of her: https://plus.google.com/photos/114094639856581800366/albums/6002356721071973169

The thing that strikes me as odd the most, Strict, is that you're nearly a stone's throw away and the post office just now got the plate to me.  At least they didn't lose it.  Thanks for running the group buy and running it efficiently.

The back of the plates definitely look worse than the front. You can tell which side is the back by the light brown outlining from the laser, the front wont have that and should be a lot less marked up. Since you will never see the backside once its installed I would only worry about sanding/finishing the front. Shipping USPS cant be hit or miss sometimes. Im glad everything got there regardless!

I'm very glad everyone is happy with their plates so far! Keep those pictures coming, I love seeing the plates in their new homes  :thumb:

Glad to hear it! I was more nervous about the international orders than the others since this was my first adventure shipping overseas.

If anyone decides they don't want theirs and wants to sell it, please PM me :)

The fabricators cut me a few extra plates (3) and I've already sold all of them except one because it has a minor a cosmetic defect. Its a minor defect and does not affect functionality at all but I didn't want to send it out to someone unsuspecting. There is a grove on the front of the plate deep enough to catch your fingernail on between the F1 and F2 keys. Other than that its a totally normal, usable plate. I'll be more than happy to sell it to you if you're still interested in it.

Since this GB seems to be over for now, I want to point out techpriest is selling freshly sanded aluminum ANSI 125 phantom plates (no cutout where the usual CM/Filco/etc controller goes) here, in case you made it late to the party and are looking for a plate for your phantom.

I'm looking forward to sanding both sides.  It'll be my weekend meditation  ;D  The scuffs don't bother me at all -- only the (local) US Postal Service continues to annoy me but that's not your fault.

Nice simple sandpaper effect but it's nice :)

To give an alternative view, here's my poker with red plate

Still no sign of my plates :(

@ Strict

Did you send all EU orders on the same day? Because GeorgeK received his plates 4 days ago.

Hopefully they will show on tuesday  :thumb:
