city and colour
« on: Sun, 27 July 2014, 14:58:27 »
sorry if nobody wants to see this, but i thought i would share

my city takes an interesting stance of street art/graffiti and allows it in many places, this is just a small selection of stuff found within a couple minutes walk of my house, but there is tons more if anyone wants to see

this stuff is spread throughout my entire area and i think gives a lot personality to the city

Those are some amazing works of art, Bunny!  You really took some terrific shots.  :D

The top of image #3 sort of reminded me of BroBot v2.  :D

I especially liked the bugs round the lamp, and the Run DMC one. I always did like art like this.

The only one that creeps me out is the James Brown one, partly because it reminds me of the IRA ones in Belfast. Still, very well done all of them.

I love the wildstyle stuff, and that Galactus is pretty sweet too.

Love the photos bunny, i always loved the UK's style of graff compared to the competitiveness of getting your name out there in the USA. Also UK bomb squads that cover trains in seconds are amazing XD keep posting Bunny, or send some more to me for my wallpaper folder

Damn that looks awesome. From time to time I like walking around and taking pictures of murals and street art. Looks like I should come visit you.

Here's some of the stuff I've spotted around town. I need to go exploring more :D.

I'm really keen on that Reign piece.

And when I went to SF earlier this year, there was some great work near Ameoba Records

I really like how Jodeci is just written on a wall in your city. Jodeci made some undeniably good R&B. It's nice seeing that their music is still relevant.

Awesome, BunnyLake!  Around here graffiti is mostly just tags.

This could be a "post graffiti you found" thread ;D
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Cinci is a great graff city.

I went to Scribble Jam for many years there and watching the graff artists put up their pieces ended up being my favorite part.

Cool stuff, I used to go exploring abandonments in my city a lot back when I cared less for my safety. I'll search through my old photos and post some stuff up later!
It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

Nice photos guys.

I've always appreciated these kinds of art forms and wish more places would support it instead of frown upon it.
