BTC 5339

I made this by modifying the Model M image.

KBP V60 mini (Cherry blue). K70 RGB (Cherry brown). BTC 5339 (foil and foam).

Not mine ofc, but it looks like a heavily modified IBM PC-122.

Big boards are making a comeback, I'm designing a 140% layout right now.

Desk-eating?  :D
It's all about the perspective:

It's a Cherry G80-2251 HAD so double-shot keycaps on MX Blacks. But I changed the alphas and modifiers to Gateron Blues.

Hello!
I'm a new guy, and I have a request. I was told this was the right place for it.

I already found the Das Model S, but I would like a Das II (there were a LOT of images, and I couldn't tell if one was there.

I'd also like a black FC660M with a red esc.

ok, here they are:

Don't press enter in between them, just put a couple spaces.

Just entered for a new line then manually added spaces till they were as centered as I could get, just takes a bit of trial and error.

It was very non-technical  :p

(I had to google what a psd was)...

It was done in Aseprite just with the dropper tool and transferring colours over from a photo.

Maybe you can auto-generate a palette in Photoshop?...

A couple of very stupid questions:

1. My main board is an HHKB Pro2, black frame with white keys.  The spreadsheet didnt *seem* to have that as existing art.  Could somebody make one for me?
2. I have a Varmilo VA87M at work with light gray keycaps.  Is a pic best to work with on something like that?

Thank you in advance to anybody able to help me out :)

There are several Varmilos and a ton of HHKBs in the thread.  Do you have access to a Paint-type program?  A recolor should be very easy.

These keyboards are made for ants.  Plus I'm mystfied at the technique being used.  Are full size keyboard pics being used and then scaled down?  Or are all of you pixel art ninjas?

I'm sure the first few were created by hand, pixel by pixel.  But the keyboard matrix is a fairly simple pattern and it's not hard to extrapolate the basic shape out to any number of wild combinations.  It's essentially just a grid of 3 x 3 pixel "caps".  The few that I've made were mostly cut & paste iterations of some previous design.

If you zoom in far enough in MS Paint it will show you a grid of pixels.  Then you just use the pencil tool and the eyedropper.

I've "made" a white Filco Minila, copied the black one in this thread and colored it. Also made a Filco Tenkeypad in white (mine's not even here yet) using a Majestouch Full as reference.
Feel free to grab them and put them in your signature (although I doubt there's anyone here that has also a white Minila :D)

I guess MS Paint is still the way to go to make these bad boys? Or are other tools used as well?
I personally use Gimp and I wouldn't use another software. I don't know if Paint manage transparency well.

Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk

You actually like Gimp? I only know few people who truly like Gimp :)

I use the GIMP, but only 'cause it's available on every OS I've used, I sort of know how to do the essentials in it, and most other applications I've tried have a learning curve, especially to do things that are not obvious.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Woah, where did you get that spacebar? I didn't know there was anything in that color that fit topre boards...

EDIT: woops, missed the massdrop spacebar buy. :p

But so far the orange ones haven't appeared. Unless there's an orange one on Aliexpress?

It's the light grey pbt spacebar dyed with orange dye by crj3012 on reddit, the orange one on taobao/massdrop is too light for carbon
