These unique looking translucent blanks are made of POM (see FAQ if you want to know more about this material).
We are Escape Keyboard, and we are hoping to specialise in bringing POM jelly keycaps back to the mechanical keyboard community with a wider selection of colors and configurations.
The interest check two weeks ago was very successful with a lot of responses telling us what you guys want! We have updated the kit options and now our kits will be compatible with most of the layouts you have.
And for the first time in MK GB history (that we are aware of), you will be able to customize your own kits.
We are not talking about having the option to buy different layout kits, but to also select your colour option for each kit from all six colours.

This is for those who want the POM Jelly Rainbow. This kit will also include a 1.75
right shift for 65% keyboard conversions.

FAQFirst group buy? READ THIS BEFORE YOU PRE-ORDER!
A Group Buy (or GB), is a period when everyone places their pre-orders so we can meet the quantity needed to start a production run to our specifications. A GB usually lasts 3-4 weeks for everyone to place their orders, and the whole order is sent to the factory to be made. Delivery times are usually 3-4 months after the GB ends.
Please be aware of delivery times before you order as there cannot be refunds due to the nature of group buys and we do not offer change of mind refunds.

Are these POM caps better than double shot ABS?
Durability wise, in theory, definitely! POM has a density of 1.41 g/cm3 and Abs and PBT has 1.1 and 1.3 g/cm3 respectively. This causes a different sound profile and touch due to the unique material. In terms of thickness, they are thinner than most of the premium ABS double shots out there. So it will be down to personal preference on both aesthetics and touch.
How do these keys feel and sound?
Although they do not have a gloss finish, they feel silky smooth, due to the material. They also sound a bit like marbles, with a slightly deep “thocc”, possible due to their density even though they are a bit thinner than most premium double shots.
Torture test results:
There are lots of claims on how ABS, PBT and POM differ from each other. We decided to put them to the test in terms of both abrasion and chemical resistance.
The results showed that these caps are extremely durable and resistant to chemicals.

Packaging looks like food, and the contents look like food. However, DO NOT EAT.
The stems are quite tight, but as long as you keep your pulling force even it will not damage your switches. The tightness is from the mechanical properties of POM which has a higher shrinkage in the post injection cooling period.
There might be a slight color difference with the GB sets compared to the testers that we shipped out before the GB as they came from different batches from the factory. However, the difference should be minimal when comparing sets within the GB.
Avoid prolonged periods of direct sunlight. As with all thermoplastics, even with UV stabilizing additives, the color WILL eventually fade with UV exposure under sun.
