What is your optimal monitor size?

<< < (6/7) > >>

PandaKB:
32" at 4K is the absolute sweet spot—it gives you that noticeable size upgrade over 27" without feeling like you're sitting in the front row of a movie theater.

tp4tissue:
32 is the BARE MINIMUM,  it is far from ideal. The natural vergence, relaxed position of the eye , where the eyes turn inward to focus on a forward object is approximately 1.5 meters.

You can't see 32" at 1.5 meters, it's about as big as 2 poker card.

Ideally you want at least 75-98 inches @ 1.5-2 meters.

Tpoor4 found 77 to be a good middle ground for 10 foot rooms as offices.

+Standing desk that can go down to 25-26", MUST be dual motor. at least 5 feet wide.

+200Lb motorized monitor lift that has 1 meter throw.

For me, around 27 inches is the sweet spot. Big enough to be comfortable without taking over the whole desk.

Well, I used to say 2x 24" was perfect for me, but my desktop monitors have only gotten bigger and my laptops have only gotten smaller. I recently upgraded to a Dell U4025QW and I don't think I can go back.

So, I guess the direct answer is 40" uw for monitor, an 14" for laptop.
