Because it is subjective and profiteering on others work is not really appreciated. The CC discussions that have previously happened in this thread did not lead anywhere constructive.

So to give you an answer. It is worth what CC originally sold the cap for. If you did not buy it from CC, then it is worth what you paid for it.

Every time someone asks for a price check on a CC here, we get into an argument. In order to avoid those arguments, all discussion of CCs, including price, goes in the clack thread. AFAIK, everything else can be price checked here. I'm not sure why the clack thread isn't stickied, or at least linked in the OP. Will bring it up to the mod team.

A couple of days ago a mid-90s 82G sold for $92 shipped, but that was kind of silly.

I would think that a nice complete 1391401 would bring at least $50 + shipping.

The caps not much at all since lasered Cherry caps really aren't the great, doubt there would be many if any people interested in them. A G81 probably nothing except if it's not the standard case.

I didn't think they were, so fortunately my hopes and dreams weren't crushed too badly. I'll probably end up scrapping the 81's for materials then, but at least I found two G80's with browns in the haul. The board with the clear re-legendable caps is one of the G80's. Any ideas for that one's value?

Thick "L" Cherry keycaps are quite good; they go for about €10 depending on condition. The problem is that most G81's larger keys or modifiers usually won't fit on almost anything else, because of specific stabs or off-center stems.

Yes. I didn't format my post very well. But yes, for an assembled MX Mini in acrylic case would be about $175 I think.
