Got the wife slicing up some vinyl for us next weekend. I'll try and do some "topre" and "cherry" ones as well. Any special color requests besides black or white?I will fly in at like 10 am from Seattle. So I will be present (awake is another question entirely). An expensive iron and a cheap one, good solder sucker and a cheap one, and plenty of room to practice.This is actually what I am most excited about. Just purchased my first kit, the let's split GB. Cool! I might set aside a few minutes to do a little demo and give some people some tips on building their first board maybe around 1pm so people can have time to sit and practice.

You're welcome! It was great meeting everyone new and catching up with folks i havent seen since last year. Go build your board and have fun. Honestly the hardest part is just settling on what setup you want to commit to! Let me know if you need a hand or have a question while you're working on it. I don't have any new keyboards (well except for a tactile switch tester that confirms to me that my *jailhouse Gat stem/Cherry Brown housing & spring are the best MX style switches under $1) but maybe I can compare my cheap uDac3 and HD668bs to some more expensive gear.
