❁ Oct 30, 2019 - Additional pantone chips received; PANTONE COLORS UPDATED: 124 C > 123 C | 7571 C > 7570 C
We acknowledge the concerns of the colors being too bright with possible contrast issues. We thought so as well at first, but the colors come out much differently when they're on an actual chip. After reviewing multiple shades similar to the originally decided pantone colors, we believe these colors will better reflect what people expect from the renders. No camera and monitor will perfectly reflect the colors, but we uploaded a picture on our Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/gmkhoney/) if you're interested in seeing the chips.

I like this the best of all yellow sets I've seen and that counts the Serika micons I have sitting nearby.

Every time I ask for this on reddit I get downvoted, but I'd buy yellow alphas. Just sayin.

I specifically wanted to create a gold/yellow on white set, which is why I chose the lighter color for the alphas. I looked into RAL originally but used Pantones instead to select the colors

The less common R3 PgUp and R4 PgDn is used on some 65% keyboards such as the MD alt, Rama M65-A and 75% boards such as the Satisfaction75

To everyone asking about kit changes, I've considered adding extra keys to kits. But the extra number of keys will increase the price of the kits and I worry about hitting moq. Kits aren't finalized completely yet though and changes can still be made if demand is great enough!

I agree, i even commented in this thread a long time ago mentioning that Ursa is doing it the way that increases chances of success.
I mean, we're not getting norde-support, I get that. But at least dont make a novelties kit that we wont even touch.

If I hold up an unused GMK Carbon grey R1 key and an unused GMK Carbon grey r2 key, I can tell they’re different, and putting em next to each other, I can tell who’s who. Just got done swapping grey keys R1 for R2 to match Rolling Bones. Probably gonna sell nautilus r1 for R2 down the road just to get ahead of it.

List the pricing and run a poll? Not every kit can go as cheap as GMK violet on cream but the remnants design for GMK darling might be doable.

Are the alt yellow alphas a definite no-go? I would question the "low-demand" claim - have not heard much about this set in general until recent days (the post distribution of this thread is somewhat infrequent/clustered)... I imagine a more representative sample would skew that ratio upward a fair bit.

Higher price for an alt kit like that is to be expected, but since it's a relatively unique kit I think many would consider it worth the price.

For me the yellow alphas are the main appeal of getting this set, since currently no other GMK sets have this. We do have Penumbra and Plum, sure, but those are more muted-cheese yellow, as opposed to, well, honey-yellow - and neither of those have yellow mods (for that we have Serika).

With the alt alphas, I am in for Base + Novelties + Alt Alphas + Spacebars + Rama cap, but without the alt alphas, unfortunate pass for me.

That's what I was worried about. But would like to confirm with OP.

Those three bars added together equal 6.25u since they line up with the 6.25u spacebar under the alphas. So quick math will tell you that it isn't a 2u bar unfortunately.

Can’t use the 2U in accent from the bars kit? I’ve previously bought the 40s kits to get the split bars colors I wanted tho so I can’t judge...

Not feelin the brownish accent color. I'm building lowkeykeyboard's orthochu (pikachu ortho board). Hence the very specific keyset I'm looking for.
