Silver Koala w/ Purple Dyesub Keycaps, and these ergo clears are the smoothest ergo clears I have ever felt, definitely a big fan of them. I was planning on replacing the switches, but what I will just end up doing is replacing the stickers and adding clear tops as well as SIP sockets.

What purple dye subs? o.O also show us them curves.
Gateron dyesubs, really nice and cherry profile

I'm currently toying with my new (to me) Model F XT. Seems to be quite nice so far, just an odd layout.

As I toy with it, I'll decide whether to use it or the '88 Model M on my main machine.

Using the simple, love-it-or-hate-it Rosewill RK9000 Gen 2 with Cherry MX browns. Been going strong for a few years now, too.

Currently rocking a KUL ES-87 Smoke Proton White MX Blues and loving it. Going to have to get a new keyset for it though as the caps that come with it are pretty much garbage.

Truth. I have the same with clears. Great board but couldn't stand the caps it came with, even though it feels giant after using a 60% for a while. But switching to PBT caps made it all the better. I went with granite for now.

I once decided not to use my IBM Model F 84 key, but I found IBM Model F's old-school key sequence useful when I edit text on vim and have reviewed the decision.
And now my Model F is in my daily use :-)

I love the Miami keyset. I got into this forum too late to join the GB. I hope someday one will give me theirs for cheap. But it's all only dreams...  :))

I don't get why so many people like normal 60%s. I don't like small keyboards in general but at least a 65% seems like it'd be workable...

The only thing I don't like with 60% are working with number as you need to hold down shift.

Wut? The number keys on a 60% are the same as any other board without a numpad  :) Do you mean working with the function keys, as you have to hold down function?

You are right indeed. I think I just don't really like not using the numpad in the end. I'm definitely slower using the shift and numbers.

Found this old girl on the side of the road with her cable cut and missing an arrow and minus keycap.
Gave her a good clean up, a fellow 'M' owner kindly donated an arrow key (and threw in a red esc key as well), I fabricated a replica cable using the original sdl connector and a ps/2 extension cable and gave her a screw mod.
107474-0

Still have to get hold of the minus keycap but shipping to Australia is $30+  ouch!

Using this at work and it is one big beautiful step up from the Microsoft Natural Ergonomic 4000 (even though I cleaned and lubed it too).

Nice find!  They clean up pretty well too :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Thanks! The awesomeness of the cable is completely thanks to Zeal. Just lucky he had had a shade of blue that matched the Esc key, haha.

I'm using my Ducky Zero again, which makes me sad because i got a Filco Majestouch 2 for a week.
Idk if it's just me but the filco felt more responsive. They are both browns switches.
Also the keycaps didn't wiggle as much and spacebar sound was also much nicer. They were also more crisp (probably because of the less wiggle)
all i know is when i have the money i will buy me a filco.

lame-o kul es 87 w/ mx blacks

Hey I want to purchase that exact keyboard, what's wrong with it? Can you tell me how the stabilizers feel on the backspace enter and shifts?
Thanks.

Using a ducky mini with the nice thick bezels and cherry mx reds, vortex cherry profile laser etched pbt, o-rings. Don't know why but gaming with it is not comfy. I don't know if it is the caps, switch or height/angle of the board. My guess is the switch so I am back to black. Loving it for typing though, very quiet except for rattling backspace.

Welcome to Geekhack!

That's a nice pair of boards you have :)

How is the Kludge?  I'm intrigued by it.
