Vanilla out of the box CM Storm Quickfire w/ MX Reds. Have some lasered PBT keycaps coming from a post in the classifieds, and some o-rings from massdrop, and after that not sure what else I will need for a while. Love typing on this thing so far.

Thanks, I used both amber and red SMD LED's to go for a hot coals kind of look. the little bit of purple is from a UV LED that functions as the Capslock indicator  :thumb:

Jut a moment ago I received my V60 with Matias Quiet switches and I'm stunned with how good those switches feel and ashamed I haven't tried them before! They're absolutely gorgeous, I'd put them on pair with BS and Topre in terms of quality feel. Very tactile, very mechanical character, and really really quiet. The case is decent, but nothing spectacular, comparable to poker in terms of quality, but I have TEX aluminium case that I'll use for this keyboard when I have time to mod it. Keycaps are actually better than I expected. I thought they would be similar to standard Filco/QFR keycaps but no, they're more similar to standard keycaps that come with new G80 keyboards. Obviously that's much worse than standard Topre keycaps but they are pretty usable as they are :)
And for that price? As I said, I feel ashamed I haven't got it earlier :)

It's comments like these that make me want to try Quiet Clicky switches from Matias over BS or MX Clears! How would you compare them to Cherry MX Blues? Are they in the same ball park or should they not even be in the same sentence?

Tactility wise they're more tactile than MX Blues, but they feel just as light, maybe a hair heavier. Lighter and smoother than Clears, closer to ergo clears, but again smoother and shorter travel, with way more character to the stroke than any Cherry like switch. The closest in feel would be Topre 55g, but those quiet matias switches feel less smooth and more mechanical (sharper tactility), so if that's your thing, don't wait with ordering.
You know what, on a second thought, if BS ever mated with Topre and they had babies, they would be those switches :)

First time typing on my Pok3r in a long time, it feels awful now. There's a lot of ping and they stabilizers are trash. I'm not really a big fan of the whole 60% thing anymore either. :(

I'm typing on the one with mx blues in it, I find the clears on the Pok3r to be better than stock blues but I love my blues on my RS96.

This might sound like a heresy, but a Logitech K740, because it feels so good. The soft domes w/ scissor switches are pure sex, esp. combined with those extremely smooth keycaps. I'll probably resell it though, because it's full size and I neither need, nor want a numpad.

For some reason I'm using my QFS MX green with JTK WoB keycaps at home atm.

Getting away with the clicking for the moment ...
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Been using my 55g AE for a couple of days now. I un-silenced it because I don't really like how the RF sounds with the silencing rings. Totally fine on the HHKB but I find it not too pleasing on the RF.

Right now, I'm using my KBP v80 with Matias Quiet Click switches. It's pretty much my favorite keyboard at the moment - love the tactile feel, and it's super quiet too.

The only thing I'm not happy about is that there aren't any blank keycaps made for the ALPs switches, although I must say that the Dolch doubleshots are pretty nice (with the exception that they have a Windows key, while all of my systems are Macs).

Turtle Beach Impact 500 with Cherry MX Blues. I quite like the sound and feel of Blues but I've noticed that a few keys are starting to "ping" and I'm becoming a little annoyed with that.
Soon to be a Pok3r with Clears and later I'll try Blacks.

USB Modded M0110. Loud as hell and the layout leaves a bit to be desired but its pretty fun to type on. Nothing some foam and lube can't fix.

How do you type Esc on these?

Currently its mapped to FN+~, but I'm going to just change it to be the default layer and have fn+esc be ~/` Its got some weird bindings by default on TMK and CTRL on capslock is awkward when its a lockswitch...

You don't, you just suck it up and deal with it.  Its kind of a 'no ***** given' kind of keyboard.

I'd love to make a keyboard with no backspace, delete, escape, etc. Just got to learn to be perfect.

We recently had to take some HR tests at my job, which I absolutely hate.  One of the sections that had to be completed involved being given a question, and 2 minutes to respond to that question, with the catch being that you couldn't correct anything.  So if you typed a word wrong or wanted to erase a sentence or two, you just had to leave it as is, and I have to say it would the most upsetting test I have taken in recent memory.  Being able to look at my paragraph that I had typed up and see all of the spelling errors and nonsensical sentences just made me so...uncomfortable I guess.  I can't even explain why I felt that way, especially when you see people posting things online daily that are rife with spelling and grammatical errors, but I just hated having to submit something that looked that way.

The SSK is back on my home desk. Swapped it out from my GH60. Feels nicer IMO but I am not used to the pinging. Might have to dental floss it...
