Hard to get the lighting right indoors.
"The Trump campaign announced in a letter that Republican candidates and committees are now expected to pay “a minimum of 5% of all fundraising solicitations to Trump National Committee JFC” for using his “name, image, and likeness in fundraising solicitations.”
“Any split that is higher than 5%,” the letter states, “will be seen favorably by the RNC and President Trump's campaign and is routinely reported to the highest levels of leadership within both organizations.”"

dat wheel mouse optical doe! By any chance, are you a Quake player? I know many CS players used that but throughout my storied Quake career I've used this WMO, as it has one of the best sensors and feels.

I don't game, but my son does.

That Anker vertical mouse on the right is my fave, since I don't need gaming-level performance, but there aren't any good left-hand vertical mice, so I use the best symmetrical. I have at least 3-4 of them, when I see them cheap I nab them for backup.

There's a difference between lonely and happily enjoying retirement.
lol, agreed, but I don't think any M fancies retirement.  Glad to hear you're rotating though.  Always nice to have another board to enjoy.  :thumb:

Nice!  I like the blue secondary legends.  I miss my Staedtler architect's ruler like the one above your keyboard.  It broke in half after a handling 'mishap'.  :-[  It was a really nice one that was made in Germany too.

It is an engineer's scale, not a ruler.

Cheap ones (<$5) are made of brittle plastic and break easily but good ones (>$10) are quite sturdy.

Yeah, but not too many things are a match for my temper.  :-[ :( :'(

My apologies on the wrong terminology.  I know they make a model for engineers and one for architects, although I never knew there were different ones until today.  Mine was definitely one of the good ones.  It had the same high-quality plastic that's on the slide-rule my dad gave me (he was a mechanical engineer).

Hi, this is my first post! I'm using my first and so far only keyboard, a Noppoo Nano 75-s with reds, because I love the look of the 75% and I didn't have a huge amount of money. The only thing annoying about having a 75 over a 60 percent board is the lack of case options :/

Anyway, here's a pic.

Lovely family!

Thanks! I've had this RF since last Thursday and it's the best feeling keyboard I've ever typed on. As for sound, it's nice, but I think it doesn't beat a dental band modded HHKB.

That's just a little insane!
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

just switched from a Pure Pro (reds) to a HHKB.
honestly, it's hard to enjoy cherries for me nowadays.
however, the pure pro is an underrated keyboard, imo :D #1 gripe for me is the cherry stabilizers on shift and enter.

Did you make that copper underlay fohat?  It looks great!

I have become enthralled with Rustoleum's new line of "hammered metal" paints. Black has been around for a long time, but now there are at least a dozen colors which are beautiful. That F-122 has a "Rosemary" case top and "Hammered Copper" plate. I did my F-107 in "Oil Rubbed Bronze" and it is stunning, too.

That was actually painted on.  It was great until I put the wrong varnish on it, and it ate the paint.  Live and learn.

Using a new Matias Mini Quiet Pro keyboard, and I am loving the key action. It has a slight softness to the keys as you bottom out, which I prefer - instead of the "plastic-on-plastic" feel you get from the Matias Mini Tactile Pro. I didn't expect much from the keyboard, but I am quite impressed - and it's as quiet as many rubber-dome keyboards (!)

a new comer here - typing on my majestouch ninja TKL ~ LOVE the build and size of this beauty! bought a cheaper KEYCOOL keyboard for my office, but regret getting the full size (though I need the numpad for work). Now thinking of getting HHKB because 60% is just beautiful. Plus I would love a Topre in my collection.

That was many many years ago (50 cents each), and I never thought I'd ever see a deal like that again until the SSK--that was a gift from God at $20 in box brand new.  Now that I think about it, I don't think I've even plugged it in to try it!

That was many many years ago (50 cents each), and I never thought I'd ever see a deal like that again until the SSK--that was a gift from God at $20 in box brand new.  Now that I think about it, I don't think I've even plugged it in to try it!

You haven't even tried out your NIB SSK?  This saddens me.

I got one of the NIB SSKs from Cindy at the end of 2014 and I sat on it for a couple of months wondering whether I should wait until the next price spike and sell it for a big profit. Eventually I opened it and found 29 broken rivets, including 17 at the left end alone.

You can do a nut/bolt mod to fix that.
