I can't quite decide how I want to have them set up. I have a full blank PBT set in black, dark grey, and off-white+light grey (one set). They're all from the same batch so they match up and the PBT4 from Ivan Japanese set matches up with them very well.

This is how I have it for now but I might end up changing them. I also really liked having the KUL with blank light-grey modifiers and nav, dark grey F-keys, and black escape. I should have taken a photo.

I really like these blanks, I just love how simple they are. How hard will it be to pick up a full Japanese set do you think?

The blanks are great.. But I should have gotten a full set of each the light grey and beige rather than the single combined set, as well as a white set. It lets you do all kinds of interesting combinations on several boards. Since I game with that keyboard, I use darker keys to show where certain key groups are.

I don't imagine it will be too easy at the moment but your best bet is to check with Ivan and see what he has or if he plans to run another round.

Just moved back to a 65g Ergo Clear board after months of fake and real Topre (both 55g). It's taking a bit of getting used to, and the one thing that really strikes me moving back to MX is how bloody wobbly the keys feel.

I've got to say that the Topre fanboys are right... it's hard to go back from Topre.


Edit: F*ck, I just re-read my post and realised that I've turned into a Topre fanboy.

Why'd you trade it? I don't think I would quickly trade my classic kb's, like the hhkb.

Actually, I had it the opposite way. I typed on a HHKB white for a year. Then I moved to my kul with clears. Recently, I've tried my HHKB again and it felt really weird, the actuation, the collapse of the rubber. But after a couple of days using it as my main driver I fell in love again and so ordered a 87UB 55g.

I haven't used my hhkb in like a week :(. Been sick in bed so only use the ****ty keyboard my air has. Or the on screen my phone has. Hate them both.

I don't bother wiping smudges until I'm done with whatever I'm doing at my desk. :3 It's no big deal, but it is a super sexy wrist rest.

I started with blue Alps, so I was left with a very good impression! My favorites are blue, green linear, and orange Alps.

The ones I couldn't get into much were brown tactile and amber Alps.  I've got some cream linear Alps coming in. Hope I'm not yet again wasting my money on more obscure switches that can't compare to my favorites, but it's always good to try them out so you at least know!

Really, it wasn't a waste. I traded my ambers for more blues and my brown tactiles will likely go for more blues as well... and for what I paid for the boards with those switches, I got the blue Alps for cheap!

For home, I've been using a Ducky Shine 5. I've also spent the last week putting together this KB Paradise Gateron Mini (60%, Gateron Yellows) and using it occasionally to test the 60% keyboard waters (Not bad, but I still think I ultimately prefer TKL):



For work, I recently switched from Realforce 87U 55g to a Realforce 87U 45g because 55g ended up being too heavy for me.

Embarassing story about that though, when I first plugged the 45g in, I noticed the dip switches weren't default, so I flipped them back to default. I had an issue where my computer wasn't recognizing my 55g before, so I got into the habit of tapping Caps Lock and seeing if the LED lit up to check if the keyboard was recognized. Well, the 45g Caps Lock didn't light up and after multiple attempts at unplugging/replugging, I thought the keyboard I received was defective...until I noticed the Ctrl key was lit up. That's when I realized I had flipped all the dip switches the opposite of default.  :-[

Besides that embarassing moment, the RF 45g has been great. I really like how it feels; yet despite me telling myself that RF 45g feels perfect, I still want to try Novatouch / Leopold FC660C / HHKB...  :-X

I really like ISO enter. It's not inconvenient to hit (I think it's more comfortable), and keyboards look better with a wonky key or two.

What's confusing me a little are the two embedded layers of Page up and down in the alphas and the arrow cluster. In any case, it's nice to have the arrow cluster but then again, having to reach for it (HHKB still in heavy use) is seeming like a chore.  :-X

Had a few of each at one point, the FC660Cs slowly got sold off for this reason. The HHKB layout is just so normal to me at this point, and makes more sense I think. Ill still probably buy a white 660C again just because I think they are so pretty.

Thanks, I had some misgivings about containing this great set to a 60% board but I was struck with inspiration. In the future I will need a project to truly show off the whole set.

Hoping to get a MX Blue or Gateron Blue keyboard sometime soon. I really want to use something that is clicky for some reason.

With 2.5 days in, I'm saying no.  That's not to say before I have to send it down the line that I wont, but I still enjoy my Greens and Clears right now.

Using a KBP V60 with Matias Quiet Linears. Still enjoying the honeymoon love affair phase with Linear ALPS, and I don't see it ending anytime soon. :D

The CM is just a tideover, I used to have a filco MJ2 as my daily. It's coming with Gat blues but I have 80 65g Zealios burning a hole in my drawer ;D
