Today I was using the Dell AT101. With the metal plate, it makes for a somewhat decent snow removal device.

Got about 50cm (1.75ft) of snow today. Had to clear out the first 10 feet or so in front of the car to get it to the semi-cleared part.

Don't be too sad... some of the switches weren't working properly anyways so it was pretty much done.

Looking for alps keycaps? You can have these. I also have doubleshot alps keycaps from a KPT-102 that I'll probably get rid of (or the whole board).

I got a RF 87u 55g yesterday and I'm really liking it. I'm a really heavy typist and I'm really digging the extra 10g actuation force compared to the HHKB. So far there isn't anything I don't like about this board.

Yeah it looks really nice in person. I wasn't sure I was going to keep it looking at the renders, and had planned to trade it out when it came in, but man, it looks really nice. The novelties are what makes it in my opinion, how often do you get to say to someone using your board "just hit the Airstrike button!"  :D

Exactly! The novelties on that set are probably the best. I've been trying to buy one off of someone but haven't found any. Doubt I will.

I got a 55g Realforce 87u a few days ago. So far I've had my hands on Pok3r w/ Browns, my old roommates planck with blacks, and a stock HHKB Pro 2. I gotta say that out of all of these boards I definitely prefer the 55g Realforce. I'm sure I would like a 55g HHKB just as much, if not more, but I can't justify spending another $200 right now and I do really like the TKL form factor. I am a sucker for dedicated arrow keys I guess.

@jerue: ah, the "Manta Ray"! I have one for work as well, along with its accompanying mouse. Not a bad scissor-switch keyboard at all, except for the F-keys. Those suck. As in: whoever green-lit those should be forced to step through code using Visual Studio (or just about any other IDE) until they realize the error of their ways. I ought to measure the actuation force on it some day...

Actually, I'm still waiting for my first mechanical: a WASD ISO TKL with Clears. Barring any logistics issues it'll be here in two weeks.

Rest of the time it's currently a Lenovo "ThinkPad Compact USB Keyboard with TrackPoint". Will be relegated to a secondary role once the WASD comes in; maintenance on other computers, travel board, the like.

how about the inconsistent legends? atrocious!
i would love to have blanks for the 87U just so that i can stop being annoyed by the damn legends. i'm still sad that the massdrop topre set was not a success.
and the backspace is a bit loud..
(other than that, i really love the 87U)

I can barely see the legends on the black caps, so it doesn't bother me. I'm sure it would if I looked harder. Also, I do agree that the HHKB mod keys sounded and felt more stable. I wonder if the stabs just need some lube.

My newly made custom 60%
and maaaaaaaaaaaaate is it graaaaaaaaaate

Cherry mx blues with 62g gold springs, PBT BoB dyesub keys, LeandreN's GB winkeyless PCB and black aluminium plate with a green TEX aluminium case.

First soldering experience and a lot of it. After soldering in 61 LEDs and then finding out that they don't allow the keys to bottom out (possibly due to thick PBT keycaps and the square LEDs) I then desoldered all but 3 LEDs (spacebar, esc, caps) and shaved those ones.

Will take pictures and post once I get my translucent green/blue keycap and black braided cable  :)
Custom 60%: Cherry MX blues with 62g gold springs and PBT Black on Black dyesub keycaps.

Other Keyboards: Deck Hassium Pro (MX Browns), the underated Leopold FC660M (MX Browns)

WASD v2 with Greens and PBT blanks from GeekKeys. My second mechanical keyboard, my third set of caps. :D

And a Genovation CP24 with "upside-down" WASD caps so they're angled towards me, I use this for launching applications and a couple global shortcuts, still have the entire second layer and one row of the first available for future use.

I'm using a dark-grey Keycool 87 with Kailh Switches on top of my desk as my gaming keyboard, my headphone wire goes right over it making it unusable for typing but fine for gaming.

Under it on my broken keyboard tray, is a Focus FK-2001 with complicated white ALPS, however some of the switches are damaged due to being attacked by ****, so I'm hoping to fix some of them with Matias switches.

I'm planning to replace my FK-2001 with a Model M and have the FK-2001 somewhere that looks nice since its such a pretty keyboard, maybe I'll paint it black.

I'm using a KBP V60 with Matias quiet switches at work. I went from a 104-key MX brown keyboard and I have no regrets . This whole time I was worried about missing the numpad, but I really don't miss it for the most part. I thought having heaver switches would bug me, but they actually feel really good.

Same wickedness as usual.
"The Trump campaign announced in a letter that Republican candidates and committees are now expected to pay “a minimum of 5% of all fundraising solicitations to Trump National Committee JFC” for using his “name, image, and likeness in fundraising solicitations.”
“Any split that is higher than 5%,” the letter states, “will be seen favorably by the RNC and President Trump's campaign and is routinely reported to the highest levels of leadership within both organizations.”"

Was using a Logitech Orion Spark/G13 before I got bitten by the 60% bug and decided to try it.  Now I'm using a Pok3r with my G13.  Also using a Logitech k811, which is what started me looking at 60% keyboards.

CODE TKL with Cherry Mx clears.  I found the stock keycaps to be just OK so I ordered two sets of Vortex PBT doubleshot keys (black and white) and replaced most of the keys.  I did keep the CODE keycaps for the number/symbol rows because of the lighting issue.  Overall the new keycaps really changed this board from nearly great to GREAT.  I love the feel and the sound of the new caps, I just wish there were more options for backlit pbt but it is what it is.
