The Queen: Sandwich Mounted HHKB at a great price.



Inspiration:
I loved the design of the Mode65, and I am a huge fan of the HHKB layout. I wanted to make a very simple aluminum HHKB keyboard that didn't cost a fortune. Most aluminum HHKB boards are expensive, and if you want a budget one you have to sacrifice features. The goal of The Queen is to make a super elegant and simple HHKB board that doesn't compromise quality or sound while also coming it at a very reasonable price. 

Specs:
Case material: 6063 Aluminum
Typing angle: 6.5°
Mount: Sandwich
Colors: E-White, Black, Silver, Gray   
Plate：Fr4

The Queen will be sold via a FCFS GB. The group buy price is 219.99 USD. There will be 300 Units Available: 100 for Black and White, 50 for Gray and Silver. The group buy will be held on cardboards.xyz. Each order includes:

The prototype is currently on the way and should arrive in a week or so. I will post more pictures and a sound test of the board when it arrives.

the crown engraving on the back side reminds me more of a jesters hat than a queens crown. i think its the curved out peaks especially on the outer ones that appear to droop slightly. otherwise GLWIC!

Yeah queen should have straighter prongs on the crown I feel - ♕

Also there is nothing in this IC that needed to be posted today as opposed to a week from now when you've actually got a working proto. The fact that you've already posted a price makes me believe that you're unlikely to make sweeping changes to the prototype, which is worrying because from what I can see you're a first time designer.

"no ic, no buy." true, but I don't see a GB anywhere. first time designer, cut the man some slack. yeah, giving feedback is great and all, but no need to write 32 comments about the lack of proto. just wait it out and see where it goes, don't lose your marbles.

new vendor + new designer is a bad recipe also consider adding more layout options and getting the proto

back design looks way too.. comical, i think i'm speaking for everyone when i say it should look more clean, elegant. any full rshift/backspace support? other plate material options? interest form hyperlink is spelled wrong

Full right shift and backspace is supported on the plate. Thanks for catching the spelling mistake as well!

I'm not sure if that's the right font choice for a fancy/regal word such as "queen". Not to mention that there's nothing in this keyboard design that justifies being called Queen... it's pretty dull to be fair. And a bit pricy for a tray mount, but this is entirely a personal pov.

The mount is actually a two piece sandwich mount, where the plate is sandwiched in between the top and bottom case.
