So much comes on mondays  :D

Yellowed WYSE.  Oxy clean actually took out some of the yellow.
(Attachment Link)
Missing Caps Lock

Is it a risk to do that? I'm getting my wyse set soon, and the numpad is yellowed, wondering if I could oxi clean as well, will it take off the letters as well?

The key caps are SP doubleshots, so the legends will never come off.

The only risk with using bleach-type products is that it is possible that the grey keys will end up having uneven splotches of lighter and darker parts. Would work just fine on the light grey keys, IMO.

Edit: ninja'd, but yeah peroxide is the risky stuff.

My signature hasn't changed since 2012. I should really update it.

True, mine is coming soon! :p I'm still trying to hunt for the dolch keyboard, really want to collect one of those, but all of them comes with the big package and the shipping will be deadly. :(

what's funny is that this one still has the LED mounted to the switch where the lower right caps lock/control was, even though there's no caps lock there

would've been nicer as the full board, there are painted-over inserts where the f10-15 and Fn keys, etc were supposed to go.  it's a g80-0777 but definitely modded, has an extra controller on it too, i'll update the deskthority wiki at some point with more pics/info.  a dolch-style adapter wouldn't get it working though, going to try the teensy/soarer route next.

It's wireless.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

More goodies from around the world. Condition is so good I'm glad I splurged and bought one.

Soon I'll start using my good camera for nice pics. Maybe I'll start a blog, so much to do.

And it works fine after testing, minus the top part. Can't be bothered with getting in depth with it right now.

I'll just keep away from this thread from now on. Seriously starting to regret I didn't buy one (had the chance to buy one when they were "cheap"; 125€). I've wanted a G80 for a while too...

Hoping to be blown away by the Hangul keysets I ordered from lysol's replica group buy instead. I suspect I will be too.

Does the top of this one look tinner than some of the others?  Some pics seem to show a think white top bit, this one seems less so?

I got a Cherry G81-1800LUMUS-0 from do_Og@n (thanks!) and a new set of WASD blank keycaps in Klavaro colors.

Mmmm.  Cherries and Klavaro!

I like keyboards and case modding.  Everything about a computer should be silent -- except the KEYBOARD!
