Modern Selectric (Now Available!)
« on: Tue, 01 December 2015, 23:36:37 »
One of the things I would like to do is have keysets always available in my store. To that end I have placed an order with SP for Modern Selectric Black. The first time around the black keys didn't get as much love as I would have liked, and the Ergodox set didn't even get made. I should have keys in hand in March and they will be available shortly thereafter. I have sets in hand and available on my store!

Here's what each set looks like this time around:

Are these full sets only, or are you gonna sell modifier kits and such?

And is there a possibility of adding a child kit with printed mods in place of the shapes?
Thanks for giving us slackers a second chance!!  :thumb:

Looks like the crash ate my previous reply. For posterity's sake here's my answer the best I can remember it:

I may do a set with text mods in the future, but I feel like it wouldn't be a Modern Selectric set. The icons are inherent to the design.

IIRC MS Black wasn't popular because it was super expensive compared to the base set. Hopefully this will not be reflected in your price here, because I think the black version looks much better than the blue.

That was pretty much a function of order quantity. Since I picked the quantities this time the pricing will be good. :)

This is awesome - all black Planck and Dox will be killer.

Could not agree more. Full black ErgoDox does look very nice.

Somehow I just saw this, and it looks much better than the PMK GB version (fixed icons, R4 shifts, homing keys, specialty keys, etc.)

I would love to give this set another chance, so hopefully these are on hand sooner than later! :D

According to their status page it should be shipping to me in early March. It'll be up on the store soon after.

Why isn't the black set on my infinity dox board that hasn't shipped yet that I still have to build once I do get it?

Welp, I just ordered a set!  I just couldn't wait for Nantucket (still getting it, though!), and I'd had my eye on Black Modern for a long time, but the cost was

Can't wait to get these on my silenced Novatouch!
