Hello there
« on: Sat, 25 July 2015, 08:29:04 »
I got my first mechanical keyboard(G710+) a few weeks ago and I couldn't go back to a rubber dome keyboard now.

The reason why I came here is because I want to build a custom keyboard with 3 keys for osu and will probably need some help with that.
I'm also considering replacing the springs in my G710+ with heavier ones because the keys feel a little bit too light for me.

Welcome to Geekhack!

I also prefer stiffer springs, but have you considered the amount of work to replace springs in an entire keyboard?  If you have the funds, it might be easier and quicker to simply buy another keyboard (you know you want to anyway ;) ) with stiffer switches.

In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I would buy a new keyboard, but I can't find any keyboard with clear switches for an affordable price. I might consider getting one with blacks, but I prefer tactile switches.

Massdrop just did a drop of CODE keyboards with MX clears.  More than 100 people have requested another drop, so perhaps that will be an option.  I ordered one from that drop :)
