Welcome to Originative!
« on: Thu, 10 January 2013, 20:40:28 »
GeekHackers,

Sorry for all the problems I have caused before (if any).  I know there were some troubles with some people, problems with some of my group buys (KMAC LE, LZSE, possibly CCnX), and maybe some personal issues with some people out there.  I hope I have resolved everything, because I do not want to get on the wrong feet.

I have been trying to do for this good community, but I have also been busy which avoid to letting me communicate with you guys or check my messages often.  I am going to take my time, chat, pm, and communicate.

Some stuff I tried was bringing the KMAC LE, LZ SE, Cream Cheese n Green, Graphite n Black, KMAC Mini, Springs, Stickers, etc.  I still hope to achieve this goal, but I wanted to present you guys with other collectibles and what not.

I told you guys I would surprise you with something better than Cream Cheese n Blue.

Edit:  This spoiler alert was not like how it used to be.

Well here it is.  Hint:  It is not the Sanctuary Key Set.

With all this said, I would like to welcome you guys to our new sub-forum, Originative.

Congratulations on the new subforum :)

That picture looks very!

Maybe I missed in another post, but what is meant by "regular price"?

For example the classic beige with blue set cost 95$ with a regular price of 130$. Does this mean those are limited offers for the launch of the site and will go up soon?

I am interested in a couple of items, but according to other posts here international orders don't work yet :(

It means prices can be changed, with the initial selling price being 130 but currently selling at 95. Sherryton has mentioned that prices may increase/decrease in coming weeks.

Lately many have had good success ordering from sherry, I'm not sure what's going on at the moment he said the other day he was having internet trouble.

I have purchased a few small things and am planning on purchasing a few more soon.

Ok. I bought the set; got the invoice within an hour and shipping notice shortly thereafter. About an hour or two after that I got another message that it had been shipped. Guess he's up and running now.

Hey ninja,

I contemplating a purchase off of the originativeco site and am curious to know if the site is working and whether or not you've received your stuff in anything like a timely fashion.

Also, what did you order and how do you like it? You satisfied with quality, etc?

Cheers,

K

Sent you a PM and e-mail regarding my Dolch order, Sherry.  I know it's back with you according to the tracking number.  I don't even need it shipped out right now.  I'd just like some acknowledgement that it will be shipped to my new address and I won't be out a Dolch set.

Hey Sherry,

You wouldn't happen to have any keys in function row profile, blank, in either of the Dolch colors, would you?

What about either of the Dolch colors in F13 - F24?

Cheers,

K

Congrats on the new Site!!! Dolch all over the place!! Sweet!!

We do not have not have any keys to fill the function row unfortunately.  We do have blank white-beigeish keycaps, but not in the medium / dark grey colors.

These are for a TrikX from Redline (extra four function keys) and I'm thinking that non-matching would work just as well as matching.... the profile is really the most important thing.

If you don't mind, could you post a pic of any of the blank keys in function row profile that you would care to part with and PM me a price? Cheers!! And if I'd have known you were going to sell Dolch sets (I've been following your posts for a while) I wouldn't have had to watch GH like a hawk to pick up a used set.

Anyway... I really can't wait to see what's next. Totally interested in Handarbeit and the mod packages that you're been talking about.

Cheers,

K

I don't know if I should give website feedback here. I can move this elsewhere if you'd like. I really like the new design. One thing I don't like is ultra petty, but I cannot unsee it and it is bothering me.

This thumbnail image does not look like a proper keycap. The top profile of the cap looks weird when it goes to the edge. I am no artist but I modified it to show what I mean and show what I think would look better. Once again, this is ultra petty, but I have nothing better to do.

Something more similar to the GH key icon may work as well, but the current one just feels "off".

Other things: there is no description of what exactly the extension set and other addon sets to the dolch keyset contain. Also, the pricing seems a bit extreme. For example, the winkeyless set likely being just 4 or 6 caps is priced at $25. I know that these caps are premium and you are pretty much the only way to get them, but that is over $4 per cap. They are probably still going to sell, and I am by no means complaining about the pricing just providing feedback for how a lot of people would react to seeing the pricing.

Thanks a lot for the feedback.  Description and favicon needs some fixing.  As for the sets, these items are really expensive with a high MOQ.  Purchasing these sets from Signature Plastics is cheaper , but it just depends on which you prefer.

I think I'm being patient but 3 months later I still have no update for my $150 order of beige set + a bunch of other keys.

I'm not sure if this is a full time business or not, but if the stuff are not available it shouldn't be listed on the website (you can add those to your cart, checkout and pay with your credit card as of now).

Or maybe just refund if it's never gonna be shipped.

But I agree that originative has some unique hard to find stuff. I just wish it is more transparent.

Hopefully we'll get an update soon.

yeah,  sherry said he's back on dec 31.

so I gave him the time to decompress since I think a lot of people are waiting for him

then I send an email to sheraton@originativeco.com on Jan 29

still no reply. I have been communicating with him using that email when I placed my order

Maybe try facebook? https://www.facebook.com/Originativeco

I know real life happens etc but if your going to have a 'keyboard' store and sell items you need to take the time to fulfill the orders and respond to people.

I guess he really has a huge backlog.

He just replied to my second email saying that my order is not cancelled. However still no ETA.

It's already 3 months I don't mind wait for another 4 weeks or so as long as it arrives eventually.

BTW, have anyone ordered a KMAC2 kit from sherry and *received* it?

http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=39627.0

I am considering buying a kit and have someone build it for me, but reading all the posts in the thread, it doesn't seem like anyone got one from him.

The product page is still live

I got one when they first went up on the old webstore (so almost a year ago now? Don't really remember) and everything came promptly with no issues.
