[GB] GMK Originative and Magenta Mods

Hey guys,

I'm here to make an update on the Originative set.

So far it's not that great. We're at 36/150 for Originative set and 28/150 for the Magenta Mod set.

If the Chinese Group Buy can double the numbers, then I'll make sure we get this through.

How are not more people buying this!? Or do they already have a WoB set? I might be able to purchase a second set to help out.

Don't let your wallet bleed! I think the Chinese Group Buy will help this a lot

We are just half way into September. I have hopes the number of ordered sets will get higher before the closing date. WoB set is too classy to fail. Especially since it is GMK.

I just want to confirm before I join in that the 'F' and 'J' keys do have the nubs on them correct? I believe it does say so in the OP but it looks like the render hasn't been updated yet.

Bit sad really, this has great support for different layouts.
Maybe it's the same for everybody: I already got Dolch and Classic, so there is just not much need for another expensive set I can't use until I build another keyboard :s

We may do a small Esc+Enter pack. The Chinese Vendor hasn't made their order yet, and if we can expect 15+, then i would say this Group Buy is good to go. We should expect it within this week.

It is a bad timing for a white and black austere looking set to compete with full technicolor ones with all the bells and whistles. It appears that people prefer to put their money on cuteness than on elegance. Another example of the novelty-artisan phenomenon, how someone can pay a lot of money for mostly ugly pieces of colorful plastic?

I too think this is really unfortunate timing, especially with so many overlapping GMK buys (many ran by Originative).

Hope this makes MOQ, even if the Magenta Mods seems far fetched

The timing is a little unfortunate, hopefully we can make it work regardless. I just got my classic retro set and I'm even more hyped for wob win95, so this needs to happen!

What? Just treat every GB as if it were to succeed and plan your financials accordingly and you won't have a problem. If you gamble on some of them to fail, you'll have a bad time.

Note for future GBs: when Giorgio cries for bars, don't add them. He's not going to purchase anyway.

Originative sells black GMK spacebars if you wanted to have an extra. I think it is a bit too late to add keys, but maybe not

You can get seven units space bars from IMSTO's store in PBT, their color is a bit off of the GMK black, but nothing unbearable.
