Total length of mech cable recommended for RGB LED keyboard

Hello,

I am a newbie at usb cords and I want to start a hobby and make my own mechanical cords. I was reading on Mechcables.com that for 550 cable wire gauge is 26/28AWG (max ~13ft) is recommended because of the power draws of a RGB LED keyboard. Is that 13 feet just for the coil section or is that max 13 ft for coil section and connector #2(host end) section combined?

usually when lengths are given in specs., they are end to end.
with custom cables, usually the coiled section is rather small compared to the length of the cable (less than foot when coiled)
