Unicomp UB4044A (BS) at work, XArmor U9BL-S (MX Brown) at home. Preordered a Corsair K70 MX Brown... :)

Well, the K70 was a dud; Hated the backlight (flickers) so I went for a Ducky shine 3 -- same problem. I ended up w/ a Deck Legend Fire (MX clear) for home and moved the Xarmor to work (re-soldering the down arrow seems to have fixed it for now). Waiting for a CM Storm QuickFire XT (MX green) to show up, need something to annoy my co-workers ;)
Currently using: RK-9000WH/GR, CMS QFXT w/ Ghost Squid
- I'm game !

Switched back to my HHKB at home.

I was getting too many sidelong glances using the Model M late at night.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Successfull thread is successfull.

I am using pretty much only the Poker II as of now. Luckily i had the 7G this weekend cause the X-Arcade needs a native-PS/2 keyboard to be reprogrammed.

First i told myself browns were good for typing, therefor bring it to the job, and blacks were good for gaming, therefor leave it home. But since i left job and have both keyboards on the desktop, i'm using the Poker II for both gaming and typing since its small form factor combined with the good wrist rest i recieved from Smeagol_RP, it kinda feels like a nostromo or orbweaver but with more inputs.

I really feels bad for the 7G :/ it's damn good but the Poker II made me realise fullsize isn't much of my thing anymore.
See my blog here : https://delitech.live

Most of us have been through that, it's just a natural part of the proccess...

I love my modified Costar Das Keyboard, but I think I really do like to use the Matias MQP and the Noppoo Choc Mini a lot more.

Also, dang... I've used the Corsair K70 for a few weeks, but trying the Noppoo Choc Mini (also with MX Reds) just felt weird, because it was a lot better and MX Reds didn't actually suck.
My collection:
More
Mice: Logitech G602, CM Storm Recon, CM Storm Spawn, Razer Naga, Ozone Radon Opto, Corsair M60, Tesoro Gandiva, CM Storm Alcor, Mionix Naos 8200.
Keyboards: Matias Secure Pro, Matias Mini Quiet Pro, custom modded Metadot Das Keyboard Model S Professional Silent (MX Brown, Costar), CM Storm Trigger (MX Brown), Noppoo Choc Mini (MX Red), Tesoro Lobera G5NFL Supreme, CM Storm Devastator.
Soon: CM Storm Quick Fire TK (MX Brown), CM Storm Trigger Z.
Boards I don't own anymore: CM Storm Quick Fire Rapid (MX Black), Logitech K800 (Membrane), Logitech G710+ (MX Brown), Thermaltake Meka G-Unit (MX Black), Corsair K70 (MX Red).
Mice I don't own anymore: Logitech G9x MW3, Corsair M65, Logitech G700, Roccat Kone Pure.

I picked up a Ducky 2108 with MX Blacks this weekend at Microcenter. This is a very solid and well made keyboard, I would say it is definitely a step up from my Rosewill with Reds. I have heard from more than one source that these keyboards may be discontinued, so if your thinking about getting one I would recommend you do it sooner than later.

I've tried 62g-, 65g-, and vintage Black (~68g)- lubed Clears.  I prefer the stock spring, given its unusual force curve.  Light acutation, cushiony bottoming out.  And stock Clears are quieter too.  #stockClears for me!
(I've also tried them with 45g, 55g, and 60g springs from MX Browns).

Right, stock Clear springs help preventing me from bottoming out.  I should say though that if I had to type for 5 hours a day straight professionally, I WOULD go for something lighter.  But for average amounts of coding and forum/e-mail writing, Clears are perfect.

Both at work and at home:

Filco majestouch 2 with brown switches, 40 A-L O-rings, and PBT keycaps.

Kind of boring compared to some of the exotic stuff people are rocking here on the forums. But I like them to much too switch to anything else.

Well. currently I am using a Filco with browns as my daily driver, but it changes almost daily. I have, however been using this set up for almost a week! o_o

Still can't decide if I like topre or mx better. For now, it's mx because of the mushiness of topre. mx feels so much more responsive when gaming & typing.

At home I use my Poker II w/ Browns. At work I'm currently using fc660m w/clears and I switch between a DAS with browns.

55g/30g Topre board will alleviate feelings of mushiness.

Right now I'm using a DELL KB212-B Keyboard, but waiting for my replacement Ducky Shine 3 DK9008 :)
I'm already missing it so bad and the Dell is so mushy while typing.
My finger training is over 9000!!!!

Just got my Ducky Shine 3 TKL (Blue LEDs with Cherry Brown switches) and I LOVE IT  ;D

---the new stabilizers (new Cherry stabs, introduced in the Ducky Zero I believe. They're supposed to be less frictiony) kick ass!!! I now prefer these to Costar as there is no squeak or need to lube, AND I can replace the set very easily.
---the repeat rate / repeat delay is freaking insane! I don't know what I'm going to use it for yet, but LOL it's awesome.
---This keyboard is freaking solid. It's nice and heavy, I swear I can feel the additional heft because of the dual layered PCB (probably not but it's nice and hefty)
---The alternate space bar that came with it doesn't quite fit. It's a bit tight, and I need as little friction as possible, especially for one of the most commonly used keys. (oh well, replacing all keys with SP clear set soon)
---last but never neglected, the LED modes are super cool.. Especially in a room that's not very well lit. I love this crap!! Hahah.

On a final note, this thing comes at a premium which is probably not worth for most, but to an enthusiast like myself, I believe every penny spent was worth it. This will be used as my home / gaming keyboard so I can use the repeat rate / delay for... something, lol.
i type, therefore i geekhack

Switched from ibm model m to realforce 104u.

Definitely a polarizing typing experience between the two.
