I like the simplicity of it!

I do love the red back plate of this keyboards. I centered my design choice around the red back plate too! I posted this in another thread 2 weeks back but I'll post it here too :)

The entire keyboard is Red, White, and Black! From the case, keycaps, back plate, logo, and even down to the switches (MX Reds)!!!

Quick question: is there a place I can find blank / colored QFR cases? Or are they all custom-painted?

Also, is there an online store which sells full replacement key sets or will I have to browse the forum to pick them up?

The older cases had the logo above the arrow keys.

This is my first MX board. Like a lot of others, I found the font to be annoying. Luckily, I found an old Silitek Lite-On board for $2 that had MX-compatible caps. Kill+, Link+, & Loop+ keys are from a grab bag. Anyone know what they were used for?

It would be nice if I could find a cheap rubber-dome that would provide a complete keyset for the QFR. (Are there any?) I like my current set-up, but I'm sure I'll eventually spring for something else.

If you're asking what I think you're asking, most rubber dome keycap sets are not Cherry MX-compatible.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I meant an MX-compatible rubber dome that would provide a complete set for the QFR. The Lite-On rubber dome that I found was MX-compatible, but it was made before Windows, so the bottom row wasn't compatible.

I'm thinking of doing duct tape also

But don't these get nasty after a while? The sticky stuff starts leaking out at the edges causing dirt to adhere. Do you do something to prevent the dirt, such as spraying on a layer of transparent acrylic paint or something?

- uTKL SS Plate
- Frosty Flake Controller with Easy AVR Keymapper Firmware (very thankful for this!)
- Clears with 62g (Korean) Springs
- painfully high quality switch lubing (i didn't rush it like i usually do, and i know some others do)
* Krytox grease/lube mix on slider rails and arms
* Krytox grease on the top of the sliders to alter sound on return travel
* Silicon "dry" lube on springs
- Green Stickers (Korean)

Man these switches, like i didnt like ergo clear before, i really dismissed it months ago when i finally tried it but now i realize how great it is :O I think my ergodox needs to have these.....

Currently rocking skull squad dsa set and black CMStorm shell that has seen better days

My custom QFR with a custom plate which has been lubed vintage blacks with Korea group buy 62g springs, lubed browns, and now to ergo clears with 60g springs. Selling/giving it to my best friend who enjoyed the feel of my Filco with ergo clears, and only owns stock blacks. I'm gonna miss this baby... it's my second keyboard which I modded.
