Anyone ever use one of these ???

It has White ALPS Switches. Made by MICRO Innovations.  It looked decent to me.

I purchased it today.  I also have a Northgate Evolution in the mail.  Both Ergo White Switches.

It looks the same as the Chicony KB-7001. You can find some info in this thread, the pics are missing now but as far as I remember it looked exactly as yours.

nice. the microinnovations board is likely a clone though (not that there is anything wrong with that). When they arrive maybe you can open up a switch on each and post pics...?

I need to buy a northgate at some point just to know what thats all about ;)

I'm typing on one right now, although mine is branded as PC Accessories KB-7001.  The micro innovations and the PC Accessories are both just rebranded Chicony KB-7001 'boards.  FWIW, these have Genuine Bigfoot white ALPS.
Can't get enough of them ALPS

hey zw, have you tried other alps switches? This is kind of a specific question but I'm trying to figure what the difference in feel is between bigfoots and, say, 'real simplified' or the later strongmans or XM switches (that are on the mk96 and filcos for instance).

No I haven't.  They've been described as a "lighter" and smoother than the strongmans.  I'm taking everything with a grain of salt though because everybody's feeling of something is different.  I may end up liking strongmans better, who knows?

I don't know if I have strongmans in the ABS or not, but they don't feel that much different than the authentic blacks in my Dells.  I think the construction of the keyboard around the switch (key material, spacebar construction, case, etc.) has just as much, if not more, to do with the feel than switch itself.

i just received this keyboard.  i really like it.  my only gripe is the small backspace key. but its not that big of a deal.

the sound and feel is a bit lighter than a Model M, but I think I prefer it, myself.   This is my first mechanical switch keyboard and it is quite enjoyable.  i solely use ergonomic keyboards.  and right now this ranks as my favorite ergonomic board.
