Not interested in getting my set any quicker, this was only pertaining to the update. I am going to go back into my hole and patiently wait like i was before. I typically just forget about the group buys and wait till it arrives but when i check the thread and hear about an upcoming update, it causes me to be on the edge of my seat checking day after day for updates. once again i am glad i bought into this
I'm also glad that I bought a set, but I feel as if the second half has been almost forgotten about. I don't want to sound malicious or harsh as I know Bunny and Cody are doing their absolute best, but we haven't had a real shipping update in a while even though we were promised one. The OP still states 50%. I understand that it's all to do with waiting, but it just seems like the effort that has gone into shipping the rest of the sets has gone down significantly. I mean, they've had the sets since July or whatever. That's plenty of time to ship, regardless of what else is going on in their lives. When you compare it to other buys, the time that shipping has taken seems ludicrous. I know Zealios are not a good comparison as they don't need to be sorted in the same way as a keyset, but Zeal took about two weeks to ship everything. Absolutely all of it. It just seems that Bunny and Cody have lost the enthusiasm that they had initially in regards to shipping because of all the support on here. I know they aren't being paid for any of this, but the fact that we're constantly reassuring them that we don't mind waiting an eternity is maybe encouraging them to not worry about speeding things up.
Again, I do NOT want to seem malicious. I am fine waiting longer and I know that Bunny is occupied with his newborn, but I wouldn't mind if there was a bit more transparency as to why the second half of the sets have seemingly stopped shipping completely. It's just a little concerning, that's all. I really do appreciate the unpaid work that they have done for the community, but I would just like an update. Again, not disrespecting Bunny or Cody at all.
I don't think you came across as malicious at all, and applaud you on how you handled writing this. I feel like you had a lot of valid points. I sure won't argue that if someone promises an update, that they should live up to what was promised. Nobody makes anyone promise updates, but I'm always keen on keeping my word when making promises, especially when large amounts of money are involved, and tend to hold others to those standards as well.
I can see how comparing them to, say Zeal, cant be done directly, due to the fact that they aren't a business and ZealPC is, but at the same time I think customer service/transparency is something that should be important regardless of business status as you mentioned. I've also heard enough people say that they wouldn't mind paying a bit extra so that the people doing the work get paid, thus helping sets go out on time because there was transparent payment involved to help pay for the time it takes to get stuff out in a timely fashion.
End of the day, a lot of people here have been doing group buys a long time, and most people tend to run it the same way each time because that way works for them. If the way someone runs group buys is unsatisfactory to you the best thing to do is simply not participate. I'm not saying this with any direct relation here, I just mean in general. Group buys have bit me more than a few times, but now that I've really started watching which ones I join my experiences have been far better.
