Still waiting for my SA Retro Burgundy num pad set.
Still waiting on Hyperfuse full set, True Retro missing arrow I believe, and a Hack'd missing comma...
I pretty much gave up hope of getting any of these years ago.
Yea I haven't participated in a GB since this dumpster fire, and probably never will.
Same as me, I gave up getting more sets eventually.

Most GBs in this day and age have little to no issues. Vendors like Dixie and Dailyclack uses these runs as a business and huge delays can hurt their business.
I wouldn't really compare this GB from a different age of this hobby to the ones in the present day.

That's great to hear. I cannot claim to be an expert of GB back then, but to be fair to people like Bunny, they are not vendors, which mean they don't get any profit from selling the sets.
All these were done basically with, I have an idea and starts from IC to GB or even direct to GB. Those were the best and maybe not so good thing that happened back then. Some GB lived on (mass) Drop till even today. Some of the customizations were possible because of what the people before had pushed for and made it happen.
Like for those GB that got stuck, I think it sucks for both sides, those who really want to fulfil the GB and those who are waiting. They got into this mess for whatever reasons, but both sides are stuck and people's life can get disrupted from such GB. And that's what makes it so frustrating.
With the current popularity of mechanical keyboards partly due to Chinese switches being more affordable and the fact that it has been branded as gaming peripherals, it has become more attractive for manufacturers to sell via platforms such as Drop. It used to be too expensive for keyboard and mouse to be more than $10, but now things are different.
I am happy for improvements and changes and glad that more people can come to appreciate mechanical keyboards. But at the same time, I also hope that those GB that got stuck can get a closure and everyone can move on.
