FC700R! Not even a week old.
« on: Tue, 28 May 2013, 01:13:16 »
Well guys.
So far I love this thing. Like.
Alot.

Finally got around to taking some decent photo's after I put some Red O' rings on.

The ESC and RGB are all WASD Keyboard. The ESC is actually the crosshatch Textured key that they offer. I really like it.
The blank keys and the other RED keys are all Leopold from PCCASEGEAR.

I love it so far and can't wait to get some other boards.

I have a techkey's cable coming as well as some other caps to swap about as I please.

Fantastic!

What switches has it got?
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

MX Browns.

It was amazing to type on when i first got it.
But the Red O' Rings took the sharp impact out of bottoming out (still learning how to type above 80wpm :( ) and now it's glorious to type on.

A mechanical keyboard is always such a sea change from rubber domes.

Just wait until you start to feel the urge to try other switch types ;)

Already got it lol.

Ordering the new ducky PRO with the freakin sweet white/blue PBT caps next month.
Not sure if getting reds or blacks yet.

I'm actually considering a 2nd FC700R in white as well. Which I would love to do a CCnG white/grey theme with.
