Well, thanks for letting us all know what you personally would or would not do. I'm sure we were all wondering.

And thank you as well for cluttering up this established member's thread with your comment.

Pointing to the fantastic job he did on that KMAC doesn't back up my link text if interpreted literally. Seems to me you're a wee bit trigger happy.
Thanks for the props, though next time maybe make it a wee bit more obvious because sadly sarcasm does not have it own font :(

Just wanted to say, us Canadians tend to use sarcasm in text format quite often. Universally it fails quite often, but we get it up in this heartless frozen north :D

I'm just glad you didn't get my KMAC LE to build....that plate...ugh.
yea what a mess. did you get a new one yet?

One is in the works, just have to wait to get it here in Canada. Which will take awhile for shipping this time of year. In the meantime, I'm really considering getting SMD diodes instead of thru-hole...although I did mod all those switches already.....
I can give you the mouser number if you need it for the SMD diodes.

Hey given the close date I think I'm going to have to have my PCB sent to you guys for building it up.. but I'm still not 100% sure on what switches I want to use on it... when do you need to know all the details on what we want 'building' ??

5$ for harvesting switches on a PLU, this is cheap! I spent almost 4 hours desoldering my poker (with a crappy iron and a cheap pump but still!)
Very nice prices, you guys rock

Holy cow Batmann! Desoldering my entire Leopold and resoldering it back together after I installed different springs (ergo clears) took me less than 4 hours.

Yeah i know this is very slow!
I use a 30W iron with a cheap pump and i often have to add flux because i don't always manage to remove all the solder on the first attempt
This is painfull!
Lubing and changing stems or spring is piece of cake with Beast tools

I would seriously prefer to solder than to desolder something.
Just commenting on you rates :) I would prefer to assemble the phantom myself and use something other than PLU87 casing.

Looking at the PCB design, I don't think you can add LED to every switch on the keyboard, there are only some keys with holes for the LED.

Are there any other cases I could use with this PCB? The PLU case is only meh it seems, and it doesn't seem to allow for a winkeyless layout..

The Phantom PCB was designed to fit inside the Filco TKL case.

"Winkeyless" layout is possible using any case, if you use an 86-key layout with a 1x key between each Ctrl and Alt. 84-key layout is possible by not installing switches in those positions, but there isn't (yet) a case with a top cover that has cutouts to cover those positions. Maybe someone is working on one...

yea the swap would be to change the color of the leds.

you can choose to put leds in caps and scroll lock instead of in the dedicated led holes if you want but those are the only switches that you can put leds in.
